Yeah it is similar but it can be the same with all Xianxia MC where they train the same technique or advantages. How many times in DE do you see people train in "3 heads 6 Hands" Do you gives a fuck? probably not. Now two people with AI and you are like "shit similar/carbon copy"

Just think of it as two MC who walks on two different path. They have the same initial advantages but their path is different from one another.

 

usually its like that, because the copy creator surely is original reader.

so copy creator will see some flaws within original and make copy of it while thinking the story is better like this, but its rare for copy creator to be perfect too. because sometimes there's copy creator who trapped with original maker style until he made exact copy of original not just taking its idea or concepts.

In my opinion, I like to read both books and ignore all hate comments about which is a copy of the other.

 

Without the copy I would not bother with the original. Who's the first doesn't really matter, only the best remain.

You could also argue that everything in the Xianxia genre has the same essence, or everything in the wuxia genre has the same essence. Basically a moot point, everyone already knows.

nah i didnt hate copy, i always like it whenever there's additionally novel for me to read.
