I liked Galactic Dark Net for what it had delivered on the sci fi elements
Not great, but enjoyable here and there.

Nothing comes close to forty millenium, it's one of the best thing here. Do try Divine Throne, it's similar in a sense.

    Tempest of the Stellar War
Though you could say this novel is closer to battle academy in theme rather than war, the mecha fighting is really enjoyable

I don't know about 40 but it seems like SS GDK and other such, those are not true sci fi, you should've added sci fi xianxia to the title to avoid clickbait

Because in xianxia they lose their charm, and CN authors don't really write them well, you need western fiction for sci fi. Though real sci fi may exist in CN fiction, it's not translated here at all nor will be.

Those are not hidden gems, they are quite popular here and in no way gems, in the beginning most of us read them and most of us dropped them. You'll get sick of them as they get worse, the only reason I'm still reading SS is because I'm an IET fan and like all his books but that one is definetely the worst, not that any of the others is bad.
