Name: Legend of the White Kingdom 白の皇国物語 Raw Link: Light Novel raws; Covers NU Link (if avaliable): http://www.novelupdates.com/series/shiro-no-koukoku-monogatari/ Why It Should Get Picked Up: I think that the mc himself even though he died and was brought into another world, having his memory of who he is, erased, and reforming his body into that of leading others is something new to me. Having read the manga, Lectival really does think like a king even though he retains his japanese ego. I do think that if you like this LN where you would want to see the mc lead his kingdom along with his women and militants, this is the novel for you. Description (if you can find one): Having lost his money, lover, and future, a man who has given up on everything finds himself reincarnated in the kingdom of Altodestenia. He, Lectival, has no memories prior to being saved by Meriela, the daughter of an aristocrat, and now finds himself rising up to save the kingdom in its current crisis.
Hey mate, I hate to be rude, but you gotta do a lot better then that. You've gotta woo the translators into picking it up, and woo the readers into bugging potential translators into picking the series up. It sounds pretty generic, and nothing about it stands out. The only thing that somewhat stands out is the name "White Kingdom," and that's because it's a bad name.
I haven't read it myself yet but just wanted to add to the discussion that there is a manga adaption of it on alphapolis. Unfortunately chapters 4-41 don't seem to be available to the public at the moment.
Then... how do I "woo" translators make it stand out? lol And that's actually the translated name lol Is the "Why it should get picked up" not sparking up translators??
You have to be persuasive, and it has to stand out. The reasons you have stated for why are pretty generic.
I've been trying to get this translated for a while now. Voted for it on every translation poll. I've only read the manga and some generous spoilers. Here's what grabs me: Functional harem: Every girl serves some sort of purpose, political or military. They're not just a pretty face. The reincarnation aspect seems shoehorned in. Honestly forgot about it early on and it never seemed to impact the plot. Again I've only read the manga, which by Alphapolis isn't very expressive or detailed, but just going by the bare bones minimum it had there seems to be some genuine stakes and tension. Main character is at an honest to gods disadvantage and wins through guts and not some deus ex machina crap like you see with a lot of crappy stories nowadays.
Yea, I also think that when reading the manga, it feels that it isn't expressive enough to make battles more interesting. Especially cliffhangers lol.
psshhh........remove the "Here are the raws, it leads to google drive. Better than nothing right?" because the link has all 14 light novel raws that has been released so far in this series so it's more like i gave you the raw for the whole series @kenneth223 here check it in LNDB if you want to http://lndb.info/light_novel/Shiro_no_Koukoku_Monogatari
I do hope some translator pick it up as I enjoyed the manga and I would like to read the novel in detail.
