    I can only remember about an old man that was one of the greatest and controversial reasearcher that escaped with a cube to a place. Then the MC met this old man running a library in which all those time he have been taught different stuffs by the old man. Then one day the old man disappeared living behind the cube and getting all his saved money.

    Absolute Choice

    Amazing novel, the summary has threw me off for months effectively keeping me from reading this gem til today.
    Finally managed to binge read this and honest to god its become my favorite web novel of all time.

    Spoilers Ahead
    Ch80-90 you learn of the MC's past life and circumstances making the whole 8th grader chunnbyou syndrome feel organic.

    Goddamn this is giving me the feels. Backstory is so touching.

    That is not the novel the OP was looking for, but, I have to agree, it is a damn good novel with a godly release pace thanks to @CKtalon_TMW
