Someone keeps deleting my reviews (possibility of staff abusing power)

    I noticed in the past that some reviews I made on novels got deleted by someone (I sometimes go back and see how many likes my reviews get so I know how many people agree with me)

    And I made a review on this novel:

    I, as well as a few other people, made a negative review about this novel (and I stated my reasons why clearly) but as you can see, someone totally removed all negative reviews about this novel. Maybe some staff member or someone with the ability to remove reviews abused their power and removed all negative reviews because there were several of them (including mine which had 20 likes last time I checked).

    You can even see what strixflash said in their review:

    "Let me clear one thing for those who are mislead by the negative reviews: It's a good novel with good word building and a likable protagonist..."

    When strixflash made their review there were already several negative reviews existing. I made mine after that but ALL negative reviews are now gone.

    Definitely weird... how can a novel with 26% 1-star votes have zero negative reviews?

    Can't help but wonder if it's a Qidian thing whoa-hooo...

    Edit 1:
    I went back and checked, and it looks like all my negative reviews are still around.
    Edit 2:
    Maybe it was a glitch? Dunno. NovelUpdates seems to be pretty impartial unless someone is breaking the rules (see comments from staff in this thread).
    I can definitely sympathize with taking the time to write out a review (with actual reasoning in it, even if it's negative), and then having it disappear though. I spend about 15-30 minutes on each of my reviews and go back to add/edit them later too.

    It really does not add up as well with the votes for the novel. 50 voted 1, 100 voted 5. Yet, in the reviews they are all 3 stars or above. Some have no stars but they weren't negative about it.

    1. We, the staff members all treat NU pretty seriously here so we wouldn't do such a thing
    2. @Tony approves reviews and such and he wouldn't do such a thing. Because he doesn't read this series and he wouldn't mess around on NU.
    3. So Please do not accuse us of such things because we clearly didn't do it thank you very much

    OverlyFriendly with the... not so overly-friendly but still not at all rude answer. At most, miffed answer. OverlyFriendly is overly-miffed? (I'm kidding). Are there any other reasons the reviews might disappear? Sometimes, I've seen reviews (like for King of Gods) get reset. Possibility here?

    i can't buy that. Surely there is legit 1 star review. I mean some people are really articulating them well in well thought sentence sometimes.

    Yes, this happened at least once before but I thought it was on my end or perhaps I missed something. But this for sure got deleted.
    I never claimed anyone purposefully deleted it, I said there was a possibility. And regardless of what you say, you can't honestly say 100% of the negative reviews did something wrong and deserved to be deleted.
    I did no such thing, actually all of these reviews are from before the drama
