    Ah I want something for my dad to watch as I have ran out of ideas since we do not watch the same types of anime.
    Here is a list of some that he likes:
    Gate (watched the lords knows how many times)
    Bleach (2nd fav?)
    Ah! My Goddess (Fav of all time)
    Madane no Ou Vanadis
    Magi
    This ugly yet beautiful world

    Dragon Ball franchise

    Heroic Age (I think he knows the lines >.>)
    Kaze no Stigma
    History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi
    Tenchi Muyo Franchise
    Tales of Zestiria
    Yu Yu Hakusho
    Seven Deadly Sins
    Helsing franchise
    All in all I think he likes romance with a touch of ecchi, cute romance, harem, comedy and pure action.

    Gintama is one I'd recommend to just about anyone, from your list he probably isn't too fussy but going the fantasy/combat route would probably work.
