Unless something unexpected happens, supposedly he needs to reach sage realm to break the formation. But I don't know how long the story can go on, shifting focus away from the MC to other happenings and back again. Maybe there will be a time skip or something will cause his cultivation to jump to speed the story along.

I'm confused. At 8th paragraph, 2nd sentence it tells "after he’d entered the sky sage realm..." and then later on "He wouldn’t take this risk before he broke through ninth level origin realm"

Is Jiang Chen at sky sage now or 8th origin realm?

 

we're playin by "whose line" rules here. the series where everything's made up and the realms don't matter.

i think it was something like if he wanted to fully complete the trial and gain its full inheritance, he'd have to wait but it would take longer than he has till the contest starts (considering how fast his growth was up till this point and how great the area supposedly is for training, that sounds like nonsense.) but if he just wanted to get out, he could manage that relatively sooner.

granted, i've just been skimming this lately. whole lot of nothing going on. all i got out of this chapter was something, something, something, time, something, something, something, jacked their disc.

 

It's a typo. He's in the origin realm.

From what I can tell he needs to be Sage realm before he can get out. The formations he's going through now are just blocking the doorway to the real tests.

 

Looks like the next exciting portion of the story will be the Myriad Domain tournament. Except for Huang'er save, this part is boring.

What's easy about it? Their initial plan to skirt the oath hilariously failed. Afterwards it seems like most of their sect members were killed and they lost all of their territory and resources before the tribulation stopped.

Imo this is stupid. They dont need to waste their disciples or elders. If the moment they say disband and the whole thing goes away, they shouldve done that instead of waiting and see.

 

The sect head is indeed an idiot. However, I think the point was that they had to actually disband to stop the tribulation. They can't just do it in name. All of the solutions to get around tribulations are assumptions. You'll only know if they succeed or not if by the presence of tribulation. Thus the lessons is to not try to loophole your way past a heavenly oath.

 

Seems like everything is headed towards the tournament. I wonder how many chapters it will take for the MC to receive the inheritance and leave the area he is stuck in. The story pace has slowed down a good amount or at least it seems that way.

 

I think the issue that we can draw from other stories is that generally those at the top enjoy specific privileges; and to disband mean that they would loose all those privileges, and since the Skysect wouldn't be announcing the creation of the division immediately; they didn't want to disband immediately either. And another point is that doing so immediately would be admitting that they had screwed up to everyone, which was what they all wanted to avoid. They were basically between a rock and a hard place.

I think it's because with the others you were able to read in batch; but i think it's either going at the same pace or at a slower one since we're skipping by weeks/months now.

 

I don't know about you guys,

but I've seen snails move faster than this novel's plot...

 

It has definitely slowed down for now. It was a bit better before the MC got trapped.

 

Most likely Jiang Chen will end up inheriting the two seals and when the Nine Suns present the fakes during the competition, another face smacking will occur.

 

Will the Nine suns be the ones presenting the fakes? That would mean they have the authority and the people won't dare attacking.

Not as slow as TMW's plot can get.

 

I didn't think of this. Good hypothesis!

 

Also even if JC presents the two seals it will still go as the Nine suns sect wanted. Their plan is for the two seals to show up. Any way they show up is in their favor.
