    There is also the chinese dub on youtube. Watching that feels somewhat different... more original, I guess.
    If you read the novel/manhua first, then watch the anime, the feeling of weirdness will occur when you hear different names and terms used there.
    I was like... Oriku? Kaiunho? who the heck? where's ma Wang Lu and Hai Yunfan ?!!o_O Since when the story start in Kyuushu ??!:confused:
    The japanese translation for the chinese names are so weird, and they (the studio) changed the world setting and term to suit the japanese background. While watching the first episode to fourth subbed episode, my eyebrows got a lot of exercise.:confused:

    Chapter 59: "internal alchemy" in the case of the golden snake does not refer to Internal Alchemy practiced by Immortality Cultivators. It should be better translated in this context as "Beast Pellet" or "Beast Core".

    The manga and anime both surpasses the translated chaps. I would have read it if the novel translations had been done first, but now that I have watched both anime and as well as keeping up with the latest chaps of the manga/manwha, I don't think I will be reading the novel, unless the translation picks up speed :D

    Anime/manga and the novel are different like heaven and earth, anime lost 95% of character interaction that truly makes this novel shine.

    My head-canon is POV. The Cartoon is the POV of the MC's legend as it appears to other people. The Manhua is the POV of the MC's legend as it appears to members of the Sect. The novel is what's really going on with the MC.
