    Why make a protagonists with the common sense of the uncommon world be the carrier of the story, as the reader tries to make sense of how that world makes sense with their own sense. That is asking too much of the reader.

    But I am to believe in a stupid person calling me stupid? Or is he not stupid, but my stupidity making him look stupid or is it his stupidity that is making him see me as stupid? What is stupid?
