Discussion Suggestions for must-read novels

The Three-Body Problem is the only Chinese webnovel I've read so far that I think should be on everyone's Must Read lists.

I would easily trade all of the xianxia novels I've read for The Three-Body Problem.

 

They copyrighted it so it's not allowed to be translated and all the translated ones are taken off the sites. Now we have to wait like 50 years to reach where we were before in the translated parts. Not that i'm really mad. I mean, it's a business, what can you do?

For introduction in Wuxia, I would recommend Legend of the Condor Heroes. It was the first Chinese novel I had ever read and seems good enough an introduction to the Wuxia genre.

 

There's something not added yet: japanese VRMMO-novels. There are some out there and since Swordartonline (SAO) you should'nt miss them. I would add a slower novel: Only Sense Online. It's not so crazy like SAo and put people in a life or dead situation to create some sort of tension. Instead it describes gaming in as something thats fun, but nothing you should loose your real life connections (or life itself) for. In itself, its a soft entry in the gaming novels and should be a nice read for those who want to try them.

Uchi no Musume no Tame naraba, Ore wa Moshikashitara Maou mo Taoseru kamo Shirenai is a great novel for beginners.

 

I'm In Hollywood is a good starter novel for those who like movies.

 

A beginner should read Legendary Moonlight Sculptor.
Why? Because it is most iconic for anything?

 

I begin my Novels path with this.......tho it's in my stockpile list now so I don't really grasp how far had it went since the last time I read it....ahhh...I miss Weed now....

 

I started with it too and I think it was a great start.
Then I read Ark and Monogatari series, but my true second love was Tales of Demons and Gods.
You should once in a while read about the Geomchis, Weed and his cute girlfriend Seoyoon again!

Those Novels are still on my bookmarks until now. Just a memento from me before I met NU =)

yup it's such a pity for it had the greatest potential as NU's long time #1 most popular novel
