i think i watch the anime first...

 

The anime is ok. But it really is lacking by a lot. Plus, the anime is only 2 volume, while the novel have 9 volume.

Since I haven't seen it listed here, I'd suggest Half Prince.

The ending is a bit weak (and a bit wtf imo) but overall it's amusing and a bit different because of the transgender main character (real life female, in game male...)

That being said, another of the author's works was mentioned above by Agecaf iirc.

I Shall Seal the Heavens (before the rage happens let me explain, despite how epic,funny and original it can be, there is no denial about there being plenty of boring chaps and drunken philosophy rumblings, millions of different magic tehniques and items can't possibly be rembemered which is a problem of the overly original magic system, overall despite it being good it taxes your mind so I dropped it after ~500 chaps)

 

There are none of such novels, everyone has a different taste so someone will always hate those "must-reads"

The idea is to compile the favorites novels of the fanbase per genre I think, it's good for new people that don't know what would be good things to read... It's a nice idea IMO, also helps old timers that are already out of things to read.
