Yeah, QI drama back then was extremely high because of situations like that.

Edit: Also, if anyone remembers and knows where the previous translator's thoughts on what happened with QI is, could you link it? I'm trying to look for the announcement/forum thread (At least I think there was a thread), but Tbh, I can't even remember if it's true or not. It was about what the editor did to the translator and QI.

The previous translator was "backstabbed" by one (or maybe it was two) guy(s) from his team for money. From what I remember one guy was part of Qidian and wormed his way into the TL team, then when Qidian wanted its novel, the guy betrayed Madsnail (the translator) and Madsnail just quit. I mean, I don't blame him. He wasn't even going to ask Qidian for money, he didn't want it. He just wanted to finish translating the novel that got him recognition (there are probably some inaccuracies so go here for more info Madsnail drops TDK)

We'll see how it goes. I'm happy someone picked this up again, after Qidian gave no fucks about it. The translation is kind of weird, but I'll take it. I really can't be bothered to look for the Chinese raws and put them one by one in google translate.

just use that site we all know and love begins with a p and ends with a n. no hassle. Also did "new" translator release a release schedule?

 

So i guess this novel will just be lost to the ages since it has not been picked up by anyone.
