If he told the Vastheaven palace his original body's age wouldn't he be highly regarded as another possible Daolord and get good resources allocated to him? No. There's a good chance he'll become a World God simply because he can slay World Gods at the Elder God level, but that says nothing towards his chances of becoming a Dao Lord. Also, do you really think he can pull a fast one over a Dao Lord? Anyways, Ji Ning is already of the same status as World God Northrest. What more can he get?
No but being a genius businessman does mean you have enough of a brain to plan, analyze, predict, what actions people/markets might e lkely to take and then make it so that you don't come off with the short end of the stick. Do you think a genius businessman is just your average joe who got lucky or something?? Ji Ning STARTED his own business and then made millions off of it. You don't do that unless you know how to strategize. Seriously, you make it sound like a genius businessman is just your average Joe.

The difference between Chinese businesses and American ones is the American ones care about pr. They spend crap tonnes of money crushing and silencing those that question them so they can continue sending the world in a downward spiral for current profits.
We don't. We have to seek them out at alternate news sources. News is paid for by ads. Companies are often owned by bigger companies. News reports things they don't like they withdraw ads. Politicians get into office from company donations. They then get a representative for their interests. It's called lobbying. Or graft take your pick. They can make sure laws are passed in a way that gives them major freedom to exploit and lots of lawyers to keep upstarts down. It's conspiracy theory as reality.
I learned to laugh at this kind of thing after seeing it happen way too often. It's easier and healthier to laugh than to be frustrated and angry all of the time.
Good, well-established newspapers have no shortage of companies placing ads. Also, you talk about lobbying like bribes, but it's not. Lobbyists fund politicians in exchange for being included in the platform. Also, while newspapers are owned by companies, stories are rarely pulled; pulled stories have a way of appearing in other newspapers. I think you may have read a few too many yellow newspapers. PS: I'm going to stop the conversation here...it's going off-topic and may aggro scary mods >.>. Real world aside, nobody pays Ji Ning for his business acumen.
This volume's end disappointed me. Its just too convenient that a random Dao Lord suddenly pops up, saves the MC and friends, even more so that he's from Vastheaven Palace! And if Vastheaven Place is so strong then why hasn't anyone heard of it, even those that have ventured outside don't know about it. Nobody knows what its is, it has not 1 but 3 samasara Dao Lord for fuck's sake and who knows how many world gods!!
Because it's so freaking far! Vastheaven Palace lost track of World God Northrest purely because he fled desperately through countless danger zones; Dao Lord Windsource didn't. Solesky found Ji Ning by pure coincidence. Also, it's not Deus ex Machina because IET put in some obvious foreshadowing about the old man. Real Deus ex Machina would of been if, like the Emperor's Domination MC would, Ji Ning suddenly becomes a World God, master's Violetjewel and kills Blacklotus by himself. That would be Deus ex Machina.
"The body's age" means nothing tbh. I'm pretty sure that everyone is aware that it's the soul the counts.
I kind of disagree with this statement. I believe that there has been enough foreshadowing about this happening. Vastheaven Palace is just too far for Ji Ning to start hunting for. Since World God Northwest has died, it's natural that Vastheaven would start an investigation on it and send a character that is MORE powerful than Northwest. Otherwise the person they send would also die in vain if Northwest was killed by some enemies. By sending a Daolord, it shows that they truly value the person who died and want to properly investigate. It would be weird if they don't send someone to check on what exactly happened to Northwest. Yeah there are a few coincidences in the timing of the Daolord's entrance(since Ning was in trouble at that time) but it always happens in most novels. A real duex ex machina plot would be like a situation where Ning suddenly breaks through due to pressure or something to become a half-step Daolord or something and kill his enemies. We have already seen plenty of such situations during the war of the Three Realms that I don't even need to state them. So this is much better for a change. I think this is much more convenient as it allows Ji Ning to escape from his enemies as well as obtain the location of Vastheaven Palace unless you want the author to write another volume about how Ji Ning roams around for a few more millenniums and prematurely becomes a World God before reaching Vastheaven Palace because without having more power he wouldn't be able to reach there(considering the distance and enemies he would make on the journey). That would be even more ridiculous and boring.
