    Some replies to old stuff that nobody answered:
    It's a cute romance IMO, the MC is somewhat dense and the old man is a man that has his feet on the ground, so he is somewhat troubled by the girl's love.

    I think it was more like she always loved him, but was never able to tell her feelings because she was the prince's fiancee.

    When the engagement was broken, she didn't have any reason to not confess though.
