LOL, you made me reread the raws again, and QYY died in chapter 493.... @alexfilia MX was surrounded by YYC's dark assassin but OYSC managed to save the day as usual. Then after hearing YYC's reasoning, I think OYSC was really mad, so he plotted to burn out QYY's residence and bs of the smoke (and some poison), QYY's eyes were permanently ruined, OYSC told YYC that now he didn't need to take MX's eyes.

Male Lead Actually OSC actually met the original MX as a child. He was the one who saved her after she was given the cold poison, but since the culprit is a master martial artist, OSC as a child got heavily injured protecting her causing his father to immediately seek help so the father left MX in a discoverable place while he took OSC to get help. That is also the reason for OSC's type of cultivation method, he chose that knowing that it may help in curing the cold poison..
