I'm just waiting for the current translator to catch up to the old translator before I read it again. I wanted to MTL this but I'm still not finished with Scum Self Saving System.
The current translator is going to be finished with finals after a few days, so hopefully they catch up some time next week...
*randomly pops up from nowhere* I swear I should try putting my terrible Chinese skills to test by attempting to translate those drunk scenes... ...just give me a year or two...
One year later... And thus I present you with *drumroll* Q&A with Wei Wuxian! It takes place during the first time Lan Wangzi gets drunk so oh well. Fun I guess. I've never tried translating anything before in my life, so do beware that the whole thing might sound whacky or off. But I think I got the general gist of it?? Spoiler: First time drunk After cleaning and without waiting for Lan Wangji to answer, Wei Wuxian threw the cloth back into the wash basin and said, "Now that your face is washed, do you want to drink some water?" The was no sound of movement behind him. But when he turned around, Lan Wangji was holding the basin with his face buried inside. Wei Wuxian turned pale with fright and immediately snatched the basin away. "I didn't ask you to drink the water here!" Lan Wangji calmly lifted his head. Drops of transparent water droplets slid down his jaw, wetting the front of his clothes. Looking at him, Wei Wuxian found it hard to explain his thoughts in a few words. ...Did he actually drink the water? It would be for the best if Lan Wanji didn't remember anything once he was sober, or he would never have the face to meet anyone in his whole life. Using his sleeve to clean away the droplets on his jaw, he said "Han Guangjun, will you do whatever I say?" Lan Wanji: "En." (Basically yes) Wei Wuxian: "You will answer whatever I ask?" Lan Wanji: "En." Wei Wuxian pressed on knee onto the bed with the edge of his mouth twitching up and said "That's good. Let me ask you, you - have you ever secretly drunk the Tan Zixiao (some alcohol) hidden in your room?" Lan Wangji: "No." Wei Wuxian: "Do you like rabbits?" Lan Wangji: "Like." Wei Wuxian: "Have you ever committed an offense?" Lan Wanji: "Yes." Wei Wuxian: "Have you ever liked someone before?" Lan Wanji: "Yes." Wei Wuxian stopped asking any further at this point since he wasn't trying to pry into Lan Wangji's secrets, but rather just confirming whether he would really answer all his questions. He continued to ask, "What do you think of Jiang Chen?" A knitting of eyebrows. "Heng." (Imagine a dignified snort) Wei Wuxian: "Wen Ning?" Cold indifference. "He." (Imagine...a puff of breath of indifference?) Wei Wuxian narrowed his eyes and pointed at himself. "What do you think of this?" Lan Wangji: "Mine." "......" Lan Wangji stared at him and every syllabus was pronounced clearly without a doubt. "Mine." But, of course silly little Wei Wuxian thought Lan Wangji was referring to Bi Chen since he was carrying it at that time so...nope.

Wei Wuxian should have put Bi Chen down and try to ask him again T.T And paraded around with his headband tying up WWX's hands?
Yep. The second time Lan Wanji got drunk included more jealousy, tying headband while parading and a kiss. Yeah. Maybe more than that but I can't remember. I think I'll make it my life goal now or something to translate all the drunk and cute scenes for this novel since I have some free time now. (Kind of) Ah, the satisfaction of spoiling stuff and keeping my Chinese to a decent level at the same time. (I think) Maybe I'll end up being a full fledged translator with a blog and all one day. :0 But I'll start small for now I suppose. XD
