The Mage’s Predicament The young witch turned her gaze towards the mage, her eyes gazing into his. “What are you looking at?” The mage asked. “I’m just amazed.” She answered, still looking at him intently with her poker face. “Amazed of what?” “Of how ugly a person could get.” He glanced at the burnt corpse before them. It was a male human that was attacked by the black magician that they were hunting that time. “Well, this wouldn’t be the first time you’ll see one after being sent to work at the-” he didn’t get to finish his sentence when she cut him short. “No. I meant you.” She said flatly. “This brat…” he mumbled before chanting a restoration spell to at least repair the man’s dead body. “Tsk. Ugly. So ugly… really.” “Can you please not emphasize that word and just assist me? I might give you failing mark, you know?” “Yes your Majesty. Even if you’re not good-looking.” She bowed at him exaggeratedly, trying to get into his nerves—which she accomplishes quite brilliantly.
This is a really interesting oneshot! I wonder what the backstory to them is, aha. Was she being sarcastic at the end or is she really talking to royalty?
Yes. But the plot is still a mess. I'm still in the process of making it. So, maybe one of these days... if i have the mood. Lol Btw, thanks for reading!

Haha! No. They are more like a brother/sister. I don't know if i'll add in the romance... but there's a bromance between the mc and some of his friends. Haha! But not a bl... i guess?
