I find the manga a bit confusing. I think it works either way of you read the novel first or watch the anime. I read the novel then watched the anime. Still enjoyed it.

Didn't read the novel but saw the anime. But in my experience the novel is usually better than the anime and I'm always ok with re-reading the story after I've watched the anime adaption. So watch the anime then re-read from chapter 1 of the novel. On the other hand, only a select few animes were enjoyable to me after I've read the novel so I rather not risk it and just watch the anime first.
Edit/P.S. I really really like the anime OP and the MC's voice.

I would put the manga and anime above the novel honestly. The novels is too uselessly wordy imo.

anime first.. then novel... if it's the other way around, you would most likely nitpick every single thing that doesn't fit the novel in the anime..

I read the manga then watched the anime. The anime art was kinda cringe~ But the manga art is really nice :3 which is like one of my main criteria in judging manga/anime, so... lol. But the anime has its good points... I guess... well, it's further along than the manga at least? Manga won't take long to read, so I think you might as well just finish it first.

If you just want the story watch the anime. If its an adventure you're looking then the novel is the way to go.

I typically prefer to watch the anime first. Anime can give aids to mental imagination of the chars while reading, and if you do it the other way around the anime will but you when it rushes certain things, or changes/leaves out parts of the story.

    Manga and Anime > Novel
    In YS case.

The novel is sooo wordy for a good series imo. It is somewhere Mahouka and Log Horizon level of wordiness

I read the manga first and loved it (as was said previously, the art is amazing) then I watched the anime but I was pretty disappointed by how they portrayed Tanya. I don't know about the novel but I'd read the manga before watching the anime.

Watch anime. When reading you can skip descriptive details about the character specifications since you saw the character instead of visualisation of the details given.

I got one better. What you need to do is stalk the creator and when they are home alone and asleep, sneak up to them and suck their brain out with a straw so you can absorb their knowledge making it so you know all the twists and turns in the story.

I'd say go with the novel because I think it is farther along then the anime/manga
