I have decided to create a book club on NU dedicated to increasing the knowledge and spreading awareness of Western Original webnovels. They are frequently in my opinion underrated or simply written off as bad by many members of the forum. So in order to encourage interest in these budding authors and their novels, some of which I find to be far better than those currently translated, this group was created. The plan for the group will be, depending upon the current length of the novel we read, to spend a month for each novel we read (unless it's completed at the length of say Worm, in which case we will probably need more time), though depending upon how fast the members read, we may shorten or lengthen this. The idea is that we discuss as we go along and for those who may have read the novel before, try to find and expose new and interesting parts that may not be fully appreciated on first glance Spoiler: Nomination process For a novel to be nominated, it will require a nomination and a second (when we get more members in the club, it will require more votes to become a nominee) with each member being able to nominate and second one novel each. Nominations and seconding will be done in this thread or by pm to myself. All novels that are nominated will go through a vetting process done by a group moderator and if I decide that the novel should not be the focus of the group, it will not proceed through to the voting stage (though I will discuss with the nominating member the reason why I feel the novel should not be included and you will have the opportunity to change my mind(. The process of nomination and seconding will last three days. Please tag a moderator when making a nomination or second Spoiler: Voting Process Each novel that we read will receive it's own thread in the novel discussion subforum and the voting for which novel we read will occur over a three day period as well in the form of a poll on the thread. Depending upon the length of the list of nominees, members may vote for between 1-3 novels on the list. The final vote will occur on a google forms poll which will be created by a group moderator and will last three days as well. Depending upon the number of nominees there will be between 2-4 finalists and each member will have one vote The one with the most votes wins and in the case of a tie with be determined by RNG (Not @DCLXVI ) Spoiler: Moderators @Arcturus Spoiler: Members @Arcturus @brasca123 @Parth37955 @shad12ow @Bielt @LifeFrog @Zero300 @notnoel @seriouslynope @Nimroth @Drakaos @darknova @Linbe @Judgecutioner @ln_ @Solracmar @Mikey @chillo @enigmaniac @Voromir @shianthiestrada @Aternus @mir @Alchyr @robsause115 @Samsara @pkhyber @Viole @Sproutling @demonangelzero @A5G_Reaper @Random @Accidentally @xalienxgamerx @2hard4felz @LittleFox21 @Jaded @iampsyx @ABMAINA @akki @Starving Soldier @Chocol8 @Compound Q @Grimnights @Westeller @Oppa @gunmim @Nargol @rainingturtle @Doxis @Mr Pancakes @OverlyFriendly @Cool_DuDE @polokoi @henrywolf123 @R0ro @Gatsu @Mango Guy @CMYKat @DeanRae @Stormingtiger101 @majestikat @Natsume @NUCL3AR T1GER @admira @Mahou-nii-sama @Lady Luck @saekicchi @monstermaaaaan @ezekrialase @dhark801 @Kaydos63 @Liyus @hachiman hikigaya @Ishmael @Shance @SinCity @Minaku @Spfere @Elder Weizhe @superposhposh @Lovely @Flyingfrogslash @Thyth @Lawlyeth Any general discussion about the group and novels may be done on this thread, along with the nomination process.
