in general i probably only have the viet vocab of an around 10 yr old child.... i kinda just thought it was written in scholarly/legal/college class viet language as opposed to slang if that made any sense. so is viet-han kinda like a regional dialect(specific to a certain place in vietnam) or something? Cuz i know i was taught by people with northern viet accent(or so they say).
No, it isnt regional. Regional vietnamese is still vietnamese. What you often see in tangthuvien or similar forums are what we called converted versions. They are written in sino-vietnamese, and since a lot of chinese words are incorporated in viet, we can sometimes understand it. But there are still words we have no clue what they are. Think of it as transitional language between chinese and viet. For example, in chinese you have "niang" stand for mom, in sino-viet, it is "nương", which then written in pure viet as "mẹ" which is northern viet term, or "má" in southern viet. Cause the existence of that transitional language, the original meanings and context retained, and why i often read CN novels in viet. :#
Actually, the mc isn't like that at all. He didn't have sex nor cared about a woman untill ch 300ish which is a special case. He also dosen't discriminate between males and females. He has a martial skill that attacks chests And other one that attacks manhood. It's a really funny novel i hope it gets translated
