Discussion The Worst Scum?

You all know how in novels they compare someone to the worst of scum right? So heres an interesting question, what do you think of when you think the worst scum(Or scum of the earth if your disagreeable and pessimistic). Is it a rapist, a con artist who scams poor people, a corrupt politician who takes advantage of his position. Just curious.

The worst scum for me is the one that really close to you and made your life become so bad.

 

Yes, all these categories are 'scum', but I would say the worst would be the rapists and then corrupt politicians. Why? Because they seem to perform the most inexcusable harm for either little to no actual benefit.
In other words whether it be for petty personal gain and bribes in the case of corrupt politicians, or deriving pleasure through the act of rape these two types of scum provide the most pointless suffering.

Well, strictly speaking, it's all about levels of scum. I rank warlords and tyrants above murderers and rapists, but at the same time, warlords and tyrants are not the same. Warlords and rapists do sometimes rape and definitely kill, but they are on a different scale than a rapist and murderer.

Corrupted Politicians, obviously. What do you think happens in a society that politicians are too corrupt? An absurd rate of rape, murder, people dying in hospital's queues or for the lack of basic sanitation etc.

A corrupt politician is a mass murderer, serial rapist, torturer and all the worst kinds of shit summed, as a lot of this is greatly potentialized thanks to them.
