Spoiler: YOOO IT'S THE HAPPY RED EVENT TIME~ Ji Fengyan asked Liu Huo if he really wanted to marry her, and he aggressively nods. She called Ling He and said they're marrying tonight. Liu Huo is in high heavens. That night, the whole Tianting city is in festivity. Ling He wore red garbs and acts as their matchmaker and the one marrying them. However, before the ceremony starts, Ji Fengyan pulled Ling He to the side and whispers something to him. Ling He's changed expression made Liu Huo suspicious, but he was more worried about Ji Fengyan not marrying him. When the marriage rites begin, Ji Fengyan asked if he's regretting it now. The war with Holy Dragon Empire is imminent, all her advisers are discussing on the best way to counter the attack because unlike Fuxiang country which is a small nation, Holy Dragon Empire is big and mighty with countless soldiers and Life Destroyers. Chi Yan (the one who was cursed to have a small body and was cured) thinks that although they can repel the empire, what if the empire used Ji Fengyan's friends and her Wolf Smoke troops (her previous army) to fight against her? Then Liu Huo comes over and said that he'll go and make sure none of them will fight in the battle, surprising everyone. Ji Fengyan believes that he can do it, and just before he left, she called him, but stopped. Seems like the female king is still sulking. On the Holy Dragon Empire side, the Wolf Smoke troops are riding their horses at the frontier with Lu Shaoqing (the military adviser) at the forefront. They were told by Shenlong Emperor that if they are able to defeat Huaxia country and kill the female emperor, their general Ji Fengyan will be pardoned. One of the 3 stooges of Life Destroyer that Ji Fengyan met at the academy is also following them, and he started talking about the rumors about the female emperor. Lu Shaoqing had a flash of thought of something, but disappeared soon after. However, he knew that this war makes him to feel a very bad feeling. To Holy Dragon Empire's military camp stationed outside Happy Valley, people are discussing about their upcoming fight with Huaxia country. The General Commander for the war is a new general named Hu Na. Alongside with him is also the Courtyard Magician Elders. They were discussing about using Wolf Smoke troops at the forefront to fight with Ji Fengyan and makes her distracted, when people gave a report saying that Xing Lou comes. People were surprised, especially Hu Na. Xing Lou demands to know what they planned for the war, and disagreed on using the Wolf Smoke troops and anyone related to Ji Fengyan to fight against her because one of her offenses was killing her uncle in cold blood. Thankfully Hu Na doesn't know Ji Fengyan, so he quickly bought the retort and discussed new strategies. After everyone finished discussing, Hu Na spoke to Xing Lou about the Star Temple (maybe a different name, but it's the place that possibly cursed Chi Yan) is inviting him to enter their Temple as member and that they'll send someone else to take his post as the country adviser if he's willing. When Hu Na left, Xing Lou's shadow guard appeared and asked if he's going because it had been his goal for a long time. Xing Lou hesitated a bit because of Ji Fengyan, but didn't answer him and ordered him to tell Fengyan about Holy Dragon Empire's strategies and that there is no problem with Wolf Smoke troops anymore. 3 days later, the war starts. Hu Na managed to pass Happy Valley entrance, found Yan Luo Dian 3000 soldiers and Chi Yan, was about to fight them with his 80,000 troops, but was stopped by giant magic soldiers. Hu Na sacrificed soldiers just to make cracks on giant magic soldier's body, but Ji Fengyan arrived with the ancient dragon (who is now a 5 clawed Gold Dragon) and Gong Zhengyu. Ancient dragon fired at the soldiers, killing them because it was the purest element of dragon fire and can't be put off. Hu Na ordered 200 Life Destroyer with their flying mounts to fight Ji Fengyan, while he'll chase after Yan Luo Dian's army and the giant magic soldiers. The Life Destroyers doesn't dare to fight with Ji Fengyan knowing that Xing Lou is biased towards her, and her ancient dragon is already an overkill against their flying mounts. On the land, Hu Na kept chasing after Chi Yan and his army, not knowing Gong Zhengyu had landed and started his Dead Summoning spell. Wolf Smoke troops had been following from behind and saw the dead soldiers suddenly got up and walked over towards Hu Na and the rest of the Holy Dragon Empire's army, but kept silent because 1) They don't want to fight Ji Fengyan and 2) They cannot treason against Holy Dragon Empire. Hu Na and the army were surprised by the sudden attack from the rear, thinking that it was the Wolf Smoke army, but found that the one attacking them are corpses instead. What's more terrifying was that those that are killed to death by those corpses also become a dead army and started attacking the soldiers that are still alive. Everyone was is chaos, and the army had to retreat until they found an abandoned city. Now that all soldiers from Holy Dragon Empire (including the Life Destroyers fighting with Ji Fengyan) had retreated to the abandoned city, Ji Fengyan erected a barrier and said that everyone is now a prisoner and nobody can leave from the city. I think I just summarized a whole 100 chapters... or not. The interactions between Ji Fengyan and Xing Lou stopped after he left Happy Valley and the author is focusing on the war. There are still a lot of things that Fengyan and Xing Lou need to do and discuss together. I wonder the next time they meet again, how will their interactions be. Xing Lou really needs to aplogize to Fengyan first and stop acting like such a melodramatic girl first, though. Our Fengyan is cool enough to be able to take anything heads on.
This should be an update: The novel has ended. Unlike the previous 2 novels where the protagonists have really satisfying ending, this novels makes me feel like it hasn't truly ended... There are still a lot of things that hasn't been explored yet! I mean, we didn't get any snusnu! Author, I demand my snusnu!!! Anyway, here's some tidbits on what happened after the wedding: Spoiler: Tidbits till the end Huaxia country fights against Holy Dragon Empire, with the latter having to pay with heavy price. About 1/4 of the troops killed by the magic soldier and turned into zombies by Gong Zhengyu, making the rest (except Ji Fengyan's Wolf Smoke army) had to flee and take refuge in an abandoned city, only to be trapped inside by her spell. In exchange for freedom, she demanded Shenlong Emperor to send Wolf Smoke army's family, Ji city ownership, and also Ji Linlong and her grandpa to Huaxia. In the end, everyone that was trapped got released except the commander that led the army to attack Huaxia. He got killed because he is actually Holy Temple's Life Annihilator, not Holy Dragon Empire's people. After the war is over, Holy Dragon Empire is in a state of turmoil because of the demon and other country's attack. Liu Huo returned to Ji Fengyan, and they finally talked about Liu Huo's problem. Long ago when gods still existed in their world, the creatures lived in harmony and do their own stuff. After the gods left, an ancient race called the Heavenly Devil wants to conquer the world and thus started massacring and making schemes to destroy every races living in the world, turning themselves into the world's god. These are the current people from the Holy Temple. In addition, the reason the demon and the human race are in a state of war was because they killed the Demon God and scattered the bones among human's land, thus the fights happening. Liu Huo is actually a Heavenly Devil, and was the child of the previous Lord. The current Lord was his father's subordinate who rebelled and killed Liu Huo's father and took the position as lord, thus starting the evil scheme for hundreds of years. Liu Huo said his name is not Xing Lou because he actually didn't even have a name. Then Ji Fengyan replied that his name is Liu Huo, because she named him that, making Liu Huo feel happy. He continued to say that he's returning to the Holy Temple to continue his mission to kill his father's enemy, and hope she can be well. Ji Fengyan decided to collect the Demon God's bones to stop the war with the demons, and told him that he can't die because he is someone's husband and she doesn't allow him to make her into a widow. The next day, Liu Huo left, and Ji Fengyan started a meeting with her ministers about Holy Temple things. From the Demon God's soul in her body, she told them to mark the position on the maps and search for the Demon God's bones. Seeing that most of the bones are concentrated in the strongest Sa'ar Empire, Ji Fengyan said she's going to go there personally. Chi Yan, Yan Luo Hall's Lord and the previous genius young general from Sa'ar Empire recommended Ji Fengyan to seek help from the Eldest Prince, Long Xi, as they are best friends. The rest of them will help search for the scattered bones and protect the country in her stead. In Sa'ar Empire, Eldest Prince Long Xi had been trying to meet Sa'ar Emperor for an audience, but was told the emperor is talking business with the Country's Adviser Xing Hun. When he returned to his palace, they were surprised by Ji Fengyan's sudden appearance in Long Xi's room. Ji Fengyan managed to convince Long Xi of her identity and Chi Yan's life message to him, and thus they were able to be allies. Some events happened, Long Xi's imperial 2nd brother who was said to be sickly and raised by the Country's Adviser, Long Yue, was found to actually be a fake and is Holy Temple's Life Annihilator by Ji Fengyan. In addition, Shenlong Emperor with his Crown Prince secretly came to Sa'ar Empire, seeking help from Long Xi to tell Xing Hun about Ji Fengyan's preposterous actions that went against Holy Temple so that they'd destroy Huaxia for him, not knowing Ji Fengyan was there in disguise (actually her previous world's real appearance) in front of them. Some more things happened, Shenlong Emperor disguised as Long Xi was framed by Xing Hun to be imprisoned, then was killed personally by Ji Fengyan. Ji Fengyan said she'd help Holy Temple build their 12 star tower in Sa'ar Empire by giving them money as long to show her loyalty to Holy Temple to lower their guard on her, and Long Xi took Shenlong Emperor's appearance with Shenlong Crown Prince fled Sa'ar Empire back to Holy Dragon Empire. Xing Hun met with Ji Fengyan, and Xing Lou was called from Holy Temple to see his reaction at seeing Ji Fengyan. Xing Hun and the real Xing Lou are siblings, but the real Xing Lou had long been killed and replaced by Liu Huo. When they returned to their respective room, Liu Huo sneaked into Ji Fengyan's room through Ji Fengyan's room and some cuddling happens Some more things happened, every country's emperor and Life Destroyers are invited to Sa'ar Empire for the once-of-all annihilation of the demons. Actually, it was a scheme by Holy Temple to destroy the demon and human races altogether in one shot. During the meeting, Xing Hun left the emperors to discuss on whether to willingly wrote the letter to send all their army to fight the demons or be killed. Ji Fengyan discussed with the emperors to agree with sending the army, but she'll send a secret letter to each countries 2nd in command (Prime Minister and Major General) to be prepared about the incoming letter coming from tgeir emperor. The emperors are imprisoned in a dungeon, and after each countries sent their soldiers to Sa'ar Empire, they were given their last meal by Long Yue. Seeing the emperors dead (Ji Fengyan including), Long Yue was satisfied and told the warden to bury the corpse before leaving the dungeon. a few short minutes later, the emperors all stood up from their 'death'. Ji Fengyan then used her spell to turn her bean soldiers into the emperors' corpse. She also hypnotized the warden to bury the 'corpses' before they left the dungeon. Outside Sa'ar Imperial City, Ji Fengyan met with Gong Zhengyu and the ancient Dragon, and they departed for the demon's Holy Land. On the other hand, Xing Hun had been happy because everything is happening smoothly as planned. He did feel something is amiss, but remembering Ji Fengyan's death, he ignored the feeling. Ji Fengyan arrived at the demon's Holy Land first before Xing Hun, and she immediately thrown the Demon God's bones from the air, successfully resurrecting the demigod. When Xing Hun's army arrived, none of the army moved to fight the demons, and the demons also didn't move. Long Yue had long been impatient and started to threaten them, but Chi Yan who was at the front of the army rebuked him that only their emperor can move them. Long Yue want to move Sa'ar empire's army, but was stopped by the sudden appearance of Sa'ar Emperor and Ji Fengyan on top of a dragon. Then, a war does happen but contrary to Xing Hun's expectations of the demons killing humans, the demons only seemed to be attacking Holy Temple's army. Adding the siege from the countries' army, the Holy Temple army was massacred until only Xing Hun is left. Ji Fengyan asked about Holy Temple's location from Xing Hun and killed him, then left the scene with Huaxia army, leaving the other emperors stunned and frightened on how to deal with the demons. Surprisingly, the Demon God and the demons just left because there's no worth in fighting with weak human, so everyone was safe and sound. On the way, Ji Fengyan felt something id wrong with her body, then realized that her Ascension Tribulation is coming. They immediately arrived at Holy Temple's site, and Liu Huo and Ji Fengyan cuddled a little before goinv back to business The Holy Temple's Lord, Crowe(?) had been poisoned by Liu Huo's group previously and was in hiding in the tower to remove the poison. Liu Huo's group was locked outside by the barrier surrounding the tower, and they didn't have much tine left before Crowe returned to his full strength. Ji Fengyan offered to break the seal, with all of Liu Huo's group being sceptical of their Lordship's lover. Ji Fengyan's own power may not be able to break the barrier, but the lighting tribulations from the heaven are more than strong enough to break it. The first wave of 30-ish lighting tribulations broke the barrier, and everyone moved into the tower. Everyone was very surprised of Ji Fengyan's strength (except Liu Huo and Ling He's group, of course) and the proceeded smoothly into Crowe's room. Crowe fights with Liu Huo and died. The Holy Temple's schemes ended, all the emperors abdicated as they promised, telling their successors to never slight Huaxia country and also about the real story behind Holy Temple and such. They also sent 100 boxes of jewellery and golds to Huaxia for the Ancient dragon, and all the Life Annihilators and their families defected to Huaxia. One day, Ji Fengyan was having her final wave of Ascension Tribulation before becoming a god. She succeeded, turning into her original appearance as her soul, but at the moment the full power of godhood was about to fill her, the power stopped. Then, she realized that it was the fault of her body's black and white 2 inner cores. She cursed the body's demon and human's inheritance (the body's 1/4 demon btw) because now she needed to practice demon power in order to become a real immortal (she's a demigod currently). As she was complaining and being gloomy, she was held by Liu Huo, and brought back to the palace. Ji Fengyan was trying to struggle and asking what he is doing, and he replied: "Doing you." Outside the palace, Ling He, Chi Yan, Gong Zhengyu and the others are watching Bai Ze stopping Xingtian Dog from attacking Little Dumpling. Ling He thinks that the world are in peace, they are in peace. The end. I left some details, but the major things are there I think. What do you guys think? Do you think the novel still have a lot of unanswered questions? Personally I think there are still a lot of questions unanswered here like, what are the tribe that left Happy Valley? Where did the first magic soldier went to? Will Ji Fengyan ever going to be an immortal and if she did, what is going to happen to Liu Huo? I see that, different from the previous 2 novels, the author didn't do the kill the ML and MC's friends to be resurrected again, which is quite nice for a difference though still quite suspicious to me lol. In addition, although the novel has ended, it was still labeled as ongoing on the raw website, so maybe it is still actually ongoing but the author took a long break to take care of family (seems like author's mom/mom-in-law is sick, plus author still didn't have a definite place to live yet? idk ) What do you guys think?
From how it seemed to have ended, I definitely think there might be a part 2. It seems a bit too unfinished in a sense, especially for the author.
One question, how is the look of the MC? I know she's emaciated at first, is this going to change in the future?
Cute moments? Ji Fengyan and Liu Huo sleep in the same tent when she was on her war expedition against demon after the academy was destroyed. Of course, she changed into a handsomely young girl. The body she's in cannot be called pretty, but nice enough I guess. At the last chapter, she finished going through her lightning tribulations and returns to her original appearance (the one in her previous world) which is a big beauty.
