Well that's true but there are good harems and bad harems.
If a harem is done well, then there's no problem with it. But if a harem in done quite badly then people can complain because they might've been expecting a 'good' harem but got a 'bad' harem instead.
Both of these types of harem come under a single harem genre.

So most of us aren't complaining that there is a harem in this novel but we are complaining about how bad the harem has become lately. Even if there are people complaining about the fact that this novel has a harem, I'm NOT one among them.
I mean I was okay(even supportive) with the harem till like his teacher but after the entry of his childhood friend + other classmates the harem kinda got messed up for me. They new characters aren't unique/interesting enough.
Also his childhood friend feels like a filler for the duration when Yanyan lost her memory...

But on another note, I've seen plenty of reviews complaining about harems(in general) when there is a clear harem genre on the novel. And on this point, I agree with you wholeheartedly. If people hate harems and don't like harems then they can just not read it. There's no point in reading a harem when you don't like it and start complaining about it...

 

I do not like harems especially, but I can stand them. And that's what I wanted to get it, if you do not like the genre do not read it. For example I do not like reading the genre yaoio, and that's why I look at the genres to not read that genre.
And if there are stupid harems, but like this novel I read it as secondary I do not care much.

I like this novel a lot but the latest developments in the novel have kind of dissapointed me. We're just here to discuss about this novel and to give our opinions here.

On the other hand I even agree with your statement as I have seen others who hate harems in general, complaining about them in some novels even though those novels have a clear harem genre.
