You are mostly right. So he's currently 99% complete with gluttony. He goes to the god world and becomes a demigod through slaughter. After becoming a demigod which is the equivalent of rank six, he goes to the second layer of hell to steal the remaining 1% of gluttony and the most important manderhawke plate (for dimensional travel). Lots of time passes, he uses a whole bunch of demigods as guinea pigs and distractions to become a true God. As he is becoming a true God, he kills the devil with the law of greed and absorbs it. He also kills this fish God but the laws don't match him so it doesn't really matter. Leylin mainly killed him to set an example, shit out of luck Huh? Blah blah blah lots of stuff happens and eventually the goddess of the magic network starts pissing Leylin off. That goddess knows that she can't beat leylin when he is focusing only on total defense so she does a bunch of really annoying stuff to lure him out. The most epic moment is when she goes straight outside the door to his kingdom and says that if he doesn't obey her and tell her the location of the shadow network then she will start a war. Leylin starts laughing to himself and says, " you want war? I'll give you war." Leylin proceeds to open a giant hole in the crystal wall. Dozens of rank eight mages start rushing straight through that hole and wreaking havoc. Leylin just started the second apocalyptic war as revenge for the magic network goddess pissing him off. Obviously Leylin kills that goddess. She's actually extremely important because her magic network doubles as a communication network for the entire God world. With her dead, The gods lose all efficient methods of communication with their believers. Leylin in the meantime is killing every single devil in the nine layers of hell. He eventually gets them all and uses them to create his new blood line; the nightmare hydra. It's a nine headed hydra with each head representing One of Law respectively. Nine heads are slaughter, death, gluttony, greed, wrath, lust, pride, sloth and envy. He uses the laws of the dream world and the most powerful of those Devils to combine all nine of these sins. He gives himself a new name and it's THE LORD OF ORIGINAL SIN. Leylin has now become immortal as long as evil exists in the universe. this is really really short summary that misses a lot of details.

Some stuff about Leylin showing up in the author's other work, Overgod Ascension (Which I wanted to translate before the Qidian storm happened) Leylin actually showed up in Overgod Ascension in today's chapter, his name wasn't mentioned but he was called The Ancient Evil God. He met with Wu MIng and stated, the were from different time point in the same world, some Earth variant. Basically Wu Ming is from the present while Leylin is from the future. In a way Wu Ming could also be considered someone who inherited part of his legacy, because Wu Ming's cheat originally came from one of his distant descendants (infinity snake variant) and was a level 8 that was trying to revive after getting killed by a level 9. Of course Wu Ming did him in, but as revenge that snake gave Wu Ming his everything, so that the level 9 who killed him earlier would try to kill Wu Ming too. Leylin intervene by beating up that level 9 while Wu Ming chases his way up the time stream on the way to becoming a level 9. A few more chapters and Wu Ming should really reach level 9. It's rumored that the ancient evil god (Leylin) is already level 10.

Meh, he's probably doing it to help out someone from the same planet, he's pretty much at the top of the food chain at this point, fully capable of badly wounding a level 9 like no big deal. Plus in an indirect way, Wu Ming is also an inheritor of his legacy.

Ya, but back then there were still things that could threaten Leylin. Now Leylin's basically at the very top... it's not a direct legacy. If nothing else, Wu Ming would be a useful ally, since he's level 9 already and in a way owes Leylin a favour, which may never play out since level 9 is pretty high also known as the omniscient and omnipotent realm. As someone either at the very peak of that realm or possibly in the Eternal realm above it, Leylin doesn't need much. A single thought is enough for a level 9 to destroy the world they are currently in, much less a level 10. Actually, simply not suppressing their presence would be enough to kill off all living things and badly damage the world. To fully reach level 9, they need to turn back into mortal form and suppress their power instead of being a giant celestial body of power, only then could the multiverse tolerate their presence. Basically Overgod Ascension walks the same route as Leylin but less ruthless as a eastern cultivator rather than a western magus or rather warlock.
You know what would be awesome? Leylin touring fictional worlds at rank 9. And doing his experiments on the locals to find the clue to Rank 10.
The game part refers to the Overgod Space, which is basically terror infinity carried out in a xianxia world, wuxia, xuanhuan, combined world. It starts out with a beginning almost identical to HSSB. MC is reincarnated in the villain role. After he kills the psycho hero, who also happens to be a reincarnator after a bunch of chapters, he gets something and enters God's Space or Overgod Space (This name is the same as the God's Space in Terror Infinity and functions much the same). Due to the thing he got from the psycho hero, he gains privileges and finds out no one is in control of God's Space (divine artifact Overgod Palace) at the moment. The first half is his struggles to become the true owner of the Overgod Palace. Overgod Palace is actually an artifact that belonged to a dead snake being, who is a distant descendant of Leylin. Its ability is basically to select contestants from whatever world it's in and sent them to other worlds for missions. Once the contestant dies, their truesoul is harvested for their insights. Its purpose original purpose might have been to discover the way to reach level 8 and beyond by studying various worlds (in immortal cultivation, it is called universal golden immortal (level8) as opposed to golden immortal (level7), which is restricted by the world/dimension/universe they are in, when they leave their home world they weaken)

He got killed during the original war and is trying to revive himself. Leylin gets in the way repeatedly.

It's actually not that bad. Obviously the story has to be interesting enough to keep my attention but I have read through the MTL like four or five times at least. Leylin is one of my favorite characters.
How OP is Leylin's refined ultra-god artifact which he fuses devoured laws into? And does he become Lord of All Sins before declaring War on the God World or after that?
