Spoiler: Ending Leylin actually implemented the Life Tree Plan, turned all inhabitants of the Magus and God world to vegetables and took control over the worlds. I was like WTF, he surpassed his previous jackassery to become a murderer of trillions. What the Hell.

yes, after becoming a 9th rank magus he could easily make them immortals. In fact even before reaching 9th rank Leylin could have become a false immortal, but he wanted true immortality , so he could use those methods on his family.

The Devils don't know his identity. So he goes back to the normal world and then just bides his time until he is powerful enough. When he's powerful enough, he sets up his own clergy man as devil hunters to both masquerade as a good God and Kill The devils that try to investigate the identity of this new lord of the second layer. Blah blah blah lots of stuff happens then he becomes a God and various obstacles occur blah blah blah. He needs to set up his God kingdom and the enemy gods are all waiting for him in heaven but he decides to fuck them over by setting up his kingdom in hell instead. Once he does that, he has access to all of the Souls already accumulated by hell to empower his God kingdom. After that he takes over the first and third layer to set up his prestige. After that he drafts an armistice with the other six layers of hell. After another bunch of time passes, he's ready to become a rank eight mage and decides to absorb all of the Lords of the six layers of hell to create his nightmare hydra of Original Sin.
