Hello, lads. First time posting, so not sure if this is the correct place or not but I would like to know the "power-up" rankings of 'Warlock of the Magus world'. Thank you.
You mean like cultivation level? Quite straight forward actually. It's just Magus rank #. I think 9 is the highest that has been revealed.
Uh It's like Level One to Three adept (With 1 being the lowest). Then Rank 1, 2, 3 etc magus (not sure about the highest if there is one)
So it goes Acolyte rank 1,rank 2,rank 3 the they become Magus rank 1. Following this trend the higher number rank is more powerful. Currently the highest know level is Magus but there will be a higher rank. I believe Magus rank 10 is the final rank in the Magus level. There is more than one advancement path after acolyte, the know ones are Magus, Warlock and Branded Swordsman.
rank 1,2,3 acolyte. rank 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 Magus Acolyte is just preparatory stages of building up power, only simple rank 0 spells can be used at late 1st acolyte. Rank 1 spells can be used at rank 3 acolyte late stag but only used once before running out of power. a forced rank 1 magus has just over double the power of the acolytes, but it doesn't take much power to heavily influence those weaker than you. during rank 1 magus, through meditation you are constantly converting your spiritual essence to that of the element of your spell base used to rank up. a rank 1 magus would be a regular teacher in the smaller continent. Rank 2 is the headmaster of the abyssal bone forest (smaller school). rank 3 magus is the headmaster of the largest school(s) in the smaller continent.
Thanks! Could you please elaborate regarding Magus ,Warlock and Branded Swordsman? I'm guessing Branded swordman is basically like a warrior but without magic??
Is Warlock of the magus world good? I read till chapter 57 but I got bored with it. Does it become better?
Magus is just standard cultivation, nothing too unusual Branded swordsman is a magus that strengthened their body, not too sure on details Warlock is a magus that is strengthened by a beast bloodline, and they get spells related to the beast bloodline they have
Branded swordsman was only hinted at a bit but "modern" warriors are all downgraded versions branded swordsmen. As of the lastest chapter he is a rank one warlock, being a warlock makes him a bit more powerful than magus of the same rank but "middle" or "peak" rank 1 magus could deal with him fairly easily. The middle and peak being when they hit 50%+ on converting elemental essence of their choosing to a higher point. This conversion percent powers up spell of the same element and once it hits 100% they become a rank 2 magus/warlock.
middle or peak rank 1 magus being able to deal with him doesn't count with the A.I's assistance or his potions only his warlock strength.
he would stand no chance against a "quasi" rank 1 magus at this point. there was just a chapter about this, in WMW essentially if they have 1 more attack power than you have defence you will lose the fight and die. He is stronger than a regular magus with the same relative magic force and elemental power but he has MC training abilities and an above average defence. also his potions were powerful against adepts but the potions are all but useless against many rank 1 magus defences. leylin is literally running for his life from the more powerful maguses that want him dead. any mage with more than 35% elemental power and a spell with 20 force would break his defence and kill him in 1 shot if he was hit. a mid (Quasi) rank 1 magus could kill him with a level 0 spell (aka an acolyte spell) due to the fact that their spells would do 150% damage. lastly leylin still hasn't learned any rank 1 spells other than his innate ones.
Branded swordsmen and warlocks (bloodline based mages) are the only mentioned sub types mentioned in the story (or at least, the only ones that make a difference. There might be others mentioned in a line or two, but does not effect the story). Magi are ranked from Acolytes 1-3, and then Magi ranks 1-9, though rank 9 is just a fable as no one has been recorded to ever reach it. If you think that just levelling from rank 1-9 Magi is bland tho : Spoiler Aside from Magi,there are other power / cultivation systems available, most of which Leylin will encounter only after he starts travelling between worlds. There's one where you draw power from a patron God (or rank 8 Magus equivalent), another where you draw power from beastly souls. Each has their own power rankings. He even gets to travel to a world that's highly class-based (really very much like an AD&D world) with Knights, Priests, Magic Users. Once you get to an appropriate level, you can Ascend to Godhood on that world (though Gods there are just equivalent to rank 6-8 Magi), and be able to use the faith of your followers as a source of power
Can someone tell me what rank spell you can use on what lvl like 1.2.3.A iz 0 and Magus 1 is 1...Can magus 2 then use lvl 2 spells? Tnx and how man ranks in spells are there?
