ways of being sent back in time or into another world

It seems to happen quite often that truck-kun appears in a story and helps main characters to travel worlds or time or both.

It happens so much it seems that it is too common. In an alternative story a protagonist uses a demon book to mysteriously get brought back to when he was young, he will have hundreds of years to get revenge on the person who killed all close to him. (With the condition that the story can continuously get new chapters every month for the next hundred years hurhur)

I think truck-kun should take a break to let more innovative devices like the demon book take the spot light.

My question is what means have you read about that can send your mc away from the world he lives in back in time or somewhere else?

A lamp that will suck you into another world if you rub it

Nah, he died from shock IIRC

2. Mystical Cauldron/tripod
3. Smartphone app
4. Mystical stone/rock
5. Mystical purple card

And much more.

 

I would love to go back in time to become one of the many failed time traveling assassins that tried to kill Hitler, but I would probably use it to see my father one more time while he was still alive and not passed away from his cancer.

 

Wasn't it a heart attack for thinking the slowly-moving tractor would kill him?

That aside, there's this one novel (Kono Sekai ga Game da) where the MC's cousin? sister? is cleaning the attic while the MC plays his videogame and casually finds several wish-granting items inside (monkey hand, miracle mallet, etc). She then wishes she'd be a princess and that his cousin/brother was sent to the game if he liked it so much (to spite him. He was meant to be helping her. And she didn't know they granted wishes).

 

Getting stomped to death by horses that were shipped in truck-kun after you evade him\it .

 

I would like to see a mc dying while faping that will be original( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

 

Could we perchance replace truck deaths in this case with vihecular accidents? Especially head on collissions, I'd like to see a bit more originality than that. How about something like a magic meteorite spell accidentially falls in the wrong dimension and wipes out a town in ''our world'', in this case there'd A. be a magical reason for why the person reincarnated, time travelled etc, and B. a potentially larger cast of travellers availible (imagine mc meeting his entire family as different people, perhaps even on different sides of a conflict). There are way more possibilities, as compared to "simple accident".

If you want something bettet try the manga: Bokura no kiseki, it's really good in these cases (also just good in general).

 

I think it can sympathize with some readers like me, it will feel very good to read it

 

A Step Into The Past, classic time machine.

 

A guy got flushed down a toilet in one.
A lady's bathroom window would connect to an alternate world in another.
A bunch of different stories have them fall down the stairs.
Another couple ones, the floor just crumbles beneath them and they fall into nothingness instead of the floor below. Usually ending up on a summoning circle.
Then there are ones where a whole room or building gets transported with everyone inside. Usually comes as a set with a disembodied voice and drama.
Another novel had a guy just randomly find a space rift and jump through it hoping to escape from pursuers. And the same novel later had a magician who had magic that would send whoever it was shot at to some random other place, other place including alternate worlds.
I remember a couple cartoons when I was a kid would have people get sucked down the bathtub drain to somewhere else.

 

You sir are a real person obviously, it's hilarious that so many people in stories forget their family, friends, co-workers, and literally anyone they knew in seconds.

 

Try reading / listening to boatmurdered if you like animal massacre (doing the massacring that is).

I think death around a computer/at work desk is common. Results in AI / Programming type skill / Game System
There are a few that deals with a rift in time and space that does a transfer

A personal one that I thought was funny: An American vacationing in Japan spends a few bucks to buy souvenirs for his buds back home for some laugh. He bought a few used panties at a vending machine planing to pass them out while drinking with friends together, but since he bought so many, he summoned the local Japanese God who's shrine was replaced with the panties vending machine.
