Dunno if there is similar thread before. As the tittle say, im looking for western novel with reincarnation/transported plot. Are there any? If there aren't any, fantasy genre is okay too, like Rick Riordian or Patric Rothfuss books. I just need something to read.
well, its a bit more mature : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steven_Erikson there is also the Eragon books
I already read this one, and watched eragon as well. I prefer fantasy novel that involve gods from myth
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barsoom There's a movie based on the series, too. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Carter_(film) It's transportation, by the way, not reincarnation.
The Deverry Cycle by Katharine Kerr, it is focused on celtic reincarnation so major characters reincarnate many times throughout the series, spanning centuries.
Please... Just please don't say " I watched Eragon " as defence... The ending of the movie is COMPLETELY different from the book Eragon. Also, the series spans for 3-4 books.
Althoug not reincarnation/transported there's this book called "replay" that I read in elementary school about this guy who dies of a heart attack and wakes up to the time when he was in college. It talks about his struggles during those time slips.
This might not be the kind of reincarnation story you're looking for but "The Elven" from Bernhard Hennen is a really good high fantasy story about the struggles of elves (they reincarnate, but the plot basically follows just one of the mcs lives) against demon and men. Also got a norse inspired human sidekick.
Plus...the movie sucked. It sucked so bad that I felt like crying. The book was so much better, at least the first 3 books. The last one was a little meh to me.
Dude, the Dragon Knight series by Gordon R. Dickson. The author passed away but the series has a pretty satisfactory ending with a good number of books finished. It's about a graduate student who's transported to an alternate world that's basically a fork of medieval Europe if magic existed. Here's the whole series on Amazon: The Dragon and the George The Dragon Knight The Dragon on the Border The Dragon at War The Dragon, the Earl, and the Troll The Dragon and the Djinn The Dragon and the Gnarly King The Dragon in Lyonesse The Dragon and the Fair Maid of Kent The Lost Fleet series kinda fulfills your requirements too if you consider that the MC was a frozen popsicle that got unfrozen a century later and you can consider him having being transported to his own universe into the future so to him, he might as well be from a different world? It has some spin-off series but I'll only list the first one that started it all. Dauntless Fearless Courageous Valiant Relentless Victorious
Forgotten conqueror, it is an original, not sure if you have read it, but it is much better than any translated novels out there (IMO)
