It's it like a cannon-fodder, small BOSS or more like passer-by A. Not really sure with this terminology. Any explanation will be much appreciated.

They're like the not important NPC's in games
or those forgettable characters in novels. They're the ones who are usually the stepping stones of some Mc, or those who will help them in a few chapter then will never appear again

A mob, or mobile is a computer-controlled non-player character (NPC) in a computer game such as an MMORPG or MUD. Depending on context, every and any such characters in a game may be considered to be a "mob", or usage of the term may be limited to hostile NPCs and/or NPCs vulnerable to attack.

A background character that may once in a while come to the forefront to move the storyline forward but they are not really appreciated and usually die or are forgotten after that one or two useful moments

I believe that based on the novels we see here on NU the definition has changed from the original definition of the term. Basically it's any characters beside the MC.

Mob is any character without an unique name. aka Soilder A or Slime A. Craig johnoson isn't a mob nor is Slime King Beelzebub. It's a video game trope.

Yes, mob character is more generic. You can be anything from villager A to a villain. Cannon fodder on the other hand is a character that MUST be sacrificed as part of the story.

A mob character is either a background character of little significance in a story or a disposible cannon fodder.
