    What is that green thingy thing at the top left of my avatar.
    Is it there for members that've been on the site for a long time?
    That's what i managed to deduce from looking at all the people that have it.
    But i want a definitive answer what is that thing and why do i like it.
    Well you don't have to answer why i like it but some scientific reason would be appreciated if possible, mainly because i'm bored.

    It means that it is an unseen post. Basically, if you click on a thread that you've been in before but there are new posts, the old ones won't have it but the new ones will

    Then why do i have it permamently. Also thats not true, refreshed the site and everyone still has it.

    Shows whether or not you are online. Green = Online. No green = Offline. You can also hide your online status.

    Did you try putting your cursor over it? It's the state of the account, when you are online it's green when the account is offline it's gray, log out and then look for your profile through guest account and see it's gray....
