What means the star in my alerts?

In my alerts some notifications have blue stars.

It says: 2 minutes ago. (Blue star)

What does it mean? Does it mean it's new?

 

You follow that person so it is favorited. The star is pretty much showing you which ones are important(?) I guess.

 

Is this the one besides the alerts?

Not really, it will disappear soon. It's more like it shows you which one is the latest for few minutes.

But we already know which one's are the latest as it's at the top~ IIRC I only got the stars by the ones which I follow that person. I have to recheck it though but that's not going to happen anytime soon (not going through alerts at the moment).

 

IIRC, the star shows you it's an unread alert.

 

Alright finally went through my alerts and Brasca is correct~ I had 30+ pages so I went through them but there were also new alerts. I clicked it and there was a star on the ones that weren't on my 1st alert page because I had not refreshed it yet.
