Tell everyone that the novel is no more...To weep and mourn, if it was a good series or let it go and read something else....

Just let it be like that, for history sake. And of course it's to brave yourself and read mtl that will hurt your brain.

It was a good novel, and as far as I know it gets really interesting. Make a Pickup request, but the chapter must most probably be retranslated.

With qidian coming to English audiences more novels will be deleted. At up to $500 per chapter depending on word count I doubt that qidian will translate most of their works, I am betting they pull a

Salary for translator, especially Japanese chapters that can be as long as 20,000 words I interviewed quite a few. Definitely too much to spend for a charity project haha

That seems like a goof offer for the TL.But I wonder what the reading cot will be...cuz one of the major reason for the boom in the tl scene is the more or less free reading.Once money per so and so words is introduced, there will be a sharp drop in readership..

Qidian works because of volume, 5 million people paying 50 cents for a book is $2.5 million

and it is not usually professional quality. It is mainly amateur, syotesu is similar but they just dont pay.
I wonder why syotesu don't pay, maybe they have some publishing agreements,
Japan is notorious for its slave like labor mentality so no surprise there.
I won't say translations are free, I would say that most translators are kind, to be honest they are paying with their time
We call it opportunity cost, if they used the time they used to translate to work an extra job, they probably make more money.
Although some are actually making more money depending on their location
Converting US dollars to rupees for example is a lot of money

that is probably true. They don't have the community to sustain it like Manga/Lightnovel/anime had, which was popularized by western Media.
