In my book Dead Dragons Combat Manual, that has a similar cultivation system expect Martial Spirits give people fighting techniques rather than a boatload of superpowers. I was going to create a netherworld where all the Death Specialists who naturally have an affinity with Death Qi end up because they are seen as harbingers of disasters.

I know how to create a society of 'Light'. Or another way to put it how make a place that's somewhat peaceful if you didn't add the nobles.

The Wood Specialists are usually supposed to be the arrogant a*sholes who the MC will beat down if they gave him no respect. They have the most ancient of heritages of martial arts so they are expectedly strong against others with less.

However, I can't think of a 'Dark' Society that would revolve around the heritical Death Specialists that usually end up with strange surgery techniques that is definitely a form of necromancy no matter how you looked at it. They are somewhat misunderstood because it's not like Martial Spirits in this world really care about Bloodline. The techniques you have are usually used to define you as a person which is why the people of the world I made have a strange 'kinship' to those of the same elements.

It's a chaotic world but also a world that's needed for a magic martial artist (Aka Immortal) to grow.

Oh look, I forgot my question when writing these details again, how silly of me. So in the end, what kind of society's would a type of energy that revolves around controlling the soul and necromancy make?

    Let's be creative and enjoy!

One which is strictly professional. Favours are exchanged for goods and it is strictly enforced in a way that no one man can control everything since everyone wants it.

This is basically office hell where it is always 9am Monday morning for some due to debts owed.
Oh and loan sharks. Loan sharks everywhere.

Wow, that sounds like that WMW novel I read before, can't believe I forgot that kind of fair yet cruel world.

Though in the later half it became less fair because deals meant absolute nothing against 'Magic scheming'.

Then have them learn 'magic deals'.

I believe it is the one most fearful and experienced in deceit that thinks of the best and most effective countermeasures.

Ooh! I like that, I can't remember where but there was this other one that had like this impregnate Oath thingy that no one can go against which is why people wouldn't use unless necessary, not only that but normal people would use it as well, because why the hell not.

Exactly. Make it lawful evil. Basically since necromancer's need to be able to command multiple units, and summoners (I'm assuming that there are) need good contractual knowledge, then all the people here will become evil lawyers. Mwahahahahah
