so.. Ummm... I am really curious as for what kind of things that distract you the most when you are in the middle of translating something? as for me, well, I mostly stop for singing the currently playing song yes I can sing more than two songs before continuing my translation Edit: this is not limited to novels translator as a hobby, perhaps you are part timing as a translator or even a full-time translator too... what distracts you the most
When the inspiration or the motivation to write leaves my system buuuuuuuut usally im unsooppable muahhhhha *evil laugh*
nnn~ I mean not only just translating novels, but also if you are part timing as translators too or if you are a full-time translator...
I cant translate because i dont know chinese or korean or Taiwanese. U catch my drift i can translate hood to posh, does that count?
why don't try google translate from your phone and download offline language? Ummm you know, as the last resort
real life, and also the internet for me, but for different reasons: playing games is bad for translating :< and, borish or difficult / wordy paragraphs kill my mood.
RL. And when I encounter an obscure Kanji: open Jisho.org --> open weblio.jp --> numerous tabs later --> reading Wikipedia about some obscure Lithuanian mythology and revival neopaganism (this really happens). I just can't resist Wikipedia......
Wikipedia.. unn~ it helped a lot.. I mean, I sometimes translated medical journal, sometimes economic journal, and others. I don't think I can do all of them without Wikipedia...
