Discussion Which anime was ruined the most by crappy censors?

Ecchi anime Will no doubt be the most prevailant genre in this topic but for me, Pupa and Tokyo Ghoul were completely ruined by censoring. I understand that most of the time the censoring is actually a marketing ploy but it just ruins it when airing. I never feel the need to go back and watch Blu-ray versions of censored anime. It was already ruined for me the first time around.

Pupa was especially disappointing. Why even air it? Just go straight to Blu-ray where there aren't any stupid ass black screens.

if you dont put "colorful blood" and "colorful ligth" they easily reach PG16 if not PG18 they cant be Broadcast on TV

 

Same with Tokyo Ghoul. I was so hyped and dropped it on episode 1

I'm not sure because I tend to not watch censored anime to begin with. I think all of the censored ones are ruined, it just feels like something is missing.
Tokyo Ghoul, the only thing I hated about it was that they didn't include my favorite scene from the manga.

 

Most anime that airs nowadays is just softcore hentai

You have to at least give them credit for remaking the scenes completely. I'm talking about crappy censorship like stupid black bars across the screen.

Oh yeah half killing the guy LOL I only watch the first five or six episodes of TG. It was too disappointing and I heard that it deviated way way too much from the source material

And every anime excluding any uncen blu ray version have mysterious black dot/ black bar/ white light/ white bar/ fog/ tree branch/ any object that substitute the previous weird censor method is annoying

 

Well hentai needs to be censored by law. Anime that airs on TV is either censored for certain audience ratings or most of the time, as a marketing ploy kind of like by the Blu-ray or you can't see this part.

The sad thing is that it works and makes people buy

 

A lot of good and/or long lasting shows are censored in crappy ways, but yeah I'm not going back on the Blu-Ray just to see what that mysterious growing bush or small tree was covering. Definitely not going to pay money to see past the black bars, that weren't there on the midnight airing of it I found online.
