Hi everyone, This thread is about your favorites versus fighting games, and why you like them? No about trashing the one you dont like ^^. I did not make a poll because it would be far too long, some love a certain episode like street fighter IV , Tekken Tag, etc. Some like obscur games or very old game like the dbz game on snes, there is really too much. I own the a diversity of versus fighting G. that were release over the years from super nes to Ps4, and even if I liked to play time based action like Street fighter ,SNK, and other game like KoF ,VF. I had more fun playing rythm combo base game like Tekken tag, 4,5,6 , it felt more fluid fight. I also like to play Mortal Kombat 9-10, but it s more because it s bloody than the mechanics. Btw it s also hard to come accross people that know how to play good at SF or MK , newbies rarely got fun to be spam combo. At least in tekken or soulcalibur , they got the feeling that they could have do something. As for one off the funniest I play since nintendo 64 was Super Smash Bros, I could play with a lot more of people and it s really fun gameplay. Same for the Wrestling game really fun and even non adept can play it and have fun. I also like simulation like UFC the game lack impact but well there is the Little Dragon ,Bruce Lee! And my favourite is also Fight Night Champion, really good rythm with the feeling of Impact the game is really fluid. I dont talk about cross over but some were good but many were below average. For this next gen , I would only wait for Tekken 7 , I got less and less time for those kind of game anyway hehe.

i played an online soulcalibur game on ps3. i think it was SC anyway. never understood the story of that or motal kombat. i remember playing a MK game, i think it was one anyway. i was a character who entered some pool or something and i aged a lot. and i remember you could fast forward the time. At night, there was a weird spirit wandering the streets of a village and i had a mission to find it. it was creepy. im not sure it was mortal kombat though, honestly.
Guilty Gear X2. It's nothing great and it doesn't have great graphics or anything, I simply like it because it was the first VS. game I played about 10 years ago.
Touhou Scarlet Weather Rhapsody And its expansion. Reasons? I dont feel satisfactino in seeing machoman battle each other...

Tekken 3 is, and will probably always be, my favourite fighting game. I've played most of the Tekken games but I think Tekken 3 was the best. It took all of the issues I had with Tekken 2, ironed them out, and gave some decent replayability with a good soundtrack for a fighting game with (at the time) a large, pretty balanced cast. Other fighting games. Soul Calibur series is alright, but it's no Tekken. Even though it's a pretty poor game, I sometimes have a laugh playing Arcana Heart 3 with a friend of mine. It's ok for a bit of fun but it has issues.
Fate/Stay Night. I love playing Shirou and Rin. Both pretty balanced. For Shirou, I can play either melee with the yin yang swords or stay in the back and shoot with bow. Rin can use her martial arts for melee or fire gems for ranged attack. I least like Saber and Berserker. Although they do have ranged attacks, their true power lies in melee. I wonder if I'm the only one in NU who has played Touhou Project: Scarlet Weather Rhapsody (東方緋想天).
