Just like manga hosting sites. They're prepared to deal with DCMA claims and the likes.

Pretty obvious that these "aggregator sites" just take translators work and post it as their own on this page. Meaning they earn money (through ads) from something that is not theirs.

CN novels are not frequently subjugated to DCMA like JP that's why most people translate CN rather than. JP

they only hate them because certain very vocal translators have brainwashed them into thinking so. I give up thinking about that sort of thing because the only thing that really matters to me is that the material gets translated and people can read it. I read manga and watch anime on sites that do basically the same thing. Since I don't have an official licence for the novels or games I work on, I am not going to start anything. Unless you have an official license, you are a hypocrite who is stealing from the author. It is a hassle worrying about all of that sort of useless stuff that distracts from actually translating.

Those 'aggregator' sites are more of content scrapers. They host actual content on their sites, stealing others work for profit and views. Even if they list the source in a small link at the bottom of the page, they never got permission from the Translators or Authors. And in fact, refuse to take down the content even as the Translators and Authors ask them to.

If you were a translator, would you continue to translate knowing others are reaping all the benefits and are being grateful to someone else? Not everyone translates just for the sake of it.

    As for your second question,

Due to those 'aggregators' or content scrapers hiding their information well, it's hard to shut them down completely. And DMCA's only work for a particular group, not everyone. So if you DMCA them on google, then you just wont find them on google, but you could on Bing. You would first need to find their host, which they have ways of hiding that from you, and take it up with the hosts.

After which you have to also be willing to display your information and prove that all these works are being stolen. Which means you need to have a few of those people who's works have been stolen a part of this.

And in the end, even if you do shut them down, they can just go to another host, use another domain name, and start all over again.

They are people working, it's not like they are able to track every single website that is doing this kind of thing.
