I never knew 3 idiots was that well received by the international market.... Hmm.. guess I should view Bollywood with more respect...... Or not~~
No idea Never heard of step up Never have watched a step up movie before either I guess It's a matter of tastes
It sounds like you're asking why supposed comedies make unfunny references to step up and if thats the case all I can say is I have no Idea why anyone would enjoy most of those Scary Movie copycat movies given that they are more like copycrap movies... Anyhoo at least the shitty step up movies get frequently interrupted by dancing that ranges from nice to pretty fucking awsome. Most of those Scary Movie style parody comedies are complete shit is my main point.
Only stupid people aren't able to understand the meaning of those movies True the movie is about dance but ............. smart ones can end these lines
I can't quite remember the disaster movie one, but i quite liked the one in meet the Spartans especially when the Spartans one and all the Persians were "falling" off
I want to answer 'No' on your poll, but I never actually watch the whole thing, so.... Anyway, dance off, or even rap battle, are only good as a quick aside. Not as the main draw of the whole movie, that's why they turn out great as bit parts in other movies.
Yeaaaa... say that to the critics. Movies | Rotten Tomatoes | Metacritic Step Up | 19% (103 reviews) | 48 (23 reviews) Step Up 2: The Streets | 27% (62 reviews) | 50 (20 reviews) This is only the professional media critics. Some of the amateur critics went even further. The later movies were better received, but the story felt forced. Personally, I think the idea for the first two movies were better than the last two, if only the script was better.
its funny. in that there are borderline homosexuals dancing like roided up michael jacksons. also, cause there are some hot bitches. and some sick beats. mainly cause of the first thing though. i dont know. i had a laugh watching the first two movies, then thought the third was pretty lit.
From my understanding, those movies are more of a showcase of the dancers' dance moves. Any concerns about plot and the like are secondary. They are essentially a way of advertising the skills of people who win or want to win those "so you think you can dance" tv shows
i guess people like seeing hot steamy dance battles never watched one but whenever i got a link about some dance battle or amazing body move from someone i kind of enjoyed watching them(there were never woman involved but i guess they are the part of the "hot steamy" of hot steamy dance battles)
I always liked them as I got older I started seeing how shallow and stupid some of the stories are but I still liked the dance sequences. So yeah I enjoy them for what they are.
Because dance battles are ridiculous. There is nothing more to those you got served\step up parodies then that. I am pretty sure all those scary movie 'rip offs' are made by the people who made scary movie (all the ones with movie in the title like superhero movie and disaster movie) Edit: the Wayans bros seem to have dropped out pretty early but date movie and meet the Spartans and the like pretty much all seem to be made by Aaron seltzer, Josh Friedberg and David zucker, two of which were the writers for scary movie, and one produced one of the earlier scary movies That's not to say they aren't terrible. Went downhill incredibly fast after the first scary movie. Second was still watchable but nowhere near as good.
