I dont think he came from assasin clan. His martial art come from his grandfather. While killing and torturing part just some impulsive act ( or he might be aware with his action, but he just do it because it need to be done).

 

At Least the MC isn't devouring death-god or killing the death-god. For some reason, I feels the MC is good for anti scheme and anti politics.
