I understand your pain but a couple things; first -your format is wrong, second - usually it requires three months before another translator can pick it up

Edit: since it is also a Qidian novel, your chances of having someone translate this novel just got slimmer

 

i agree needing regular translations is taking ages, not that i dislike the current translator is excellent to read but not often enough

 

Additionally, this novel is a qidian novel. Doubt many would pick this up long term.

Any novel you want to get picked up must have no releases for a minimum of 3 months or have the translator say it has been dropped. The Mods are going to lock or delete your thread if you don't abide by that.
3 months isn't a very long time to wait until you can legitimately post this request.

It's always been like that and the translators that don't follow that are usually looked down upon in the community unless the original translator had posted before that anyone can grab it up to take over

 

So many novels i dropped because of slow translations

 

What? That's BS and just selfishness. If I'm a translator I will translate it and the only one who can stop me is the copyright holder. Why wait 3 months? There is something called translation versions. Look down upon? Who cares about what strangers think lol.

 

Not a rule per second but a good faith / standard practice thing. It's rude in a way to pick up another TL if they still plan to continue and 3 months is long enough to assume things aren't going well for the TL.

It's in no way obligatory to abide by just most will frown on TL snatching

 

At this point if its a qidian novel dont have expectations.

 

It's an unwritten rule in the community that keeps poaching in check, otherwise it's all going to be chaotic and less TLs would translate if anyone can just poach anytime without giving respect to the original TL. Go with MTL if you can't wait for translations, otherwise wait like everyone else. Or donate if the TL accepts them. Beggars can't be choosers.

 

Is format really important?

No, you're being selfish. You want someone else to translate so you can read. Basically, it's just to fulfill your needs so don't be a hypocrite.

Yeah, but most people would not want to go searching for the raws, or not know where the novel is from, or what it is about. Would you buy chocolates if I offered? Just chocolates, it could have worms for all you know.

 

Why is the prefix says it has been picked up?

That's kind of a self centered point of view. The translators are giving us free translations and they don't want others coming into their turf. Just abide by the rules. Otherwise we'll wind up with shitshows like stellar transformations and other early translations, where leechers encouraged multiple translators to translate the same novel without proper coordination. You just wind up with a bunch of offended translators and a good novel gets dropped for ages or winds up with a translator who isn't up to the task.
