I LOVE IT!!
It's a detective - mystery solving story in the ancient, it should be similar with drama like Di Rejie or Justice Bao.

If you read the summary from the jjwxc site, you'll think the MC is Lan DouMi, but he's actually the second actor aka the ML. The MC is the officer of the yamen, a Hong QingRui. He's an upright guy and good officer of yamen, can do martial art too. Together with the yamen's officer and magistrate they solve crime cases occur in village to town to palace.

Hong QingRui was an orphaned, his parents death was plotted by someone in the capital and this would be solved at the ending. Lan DouMi was a ger from a village that came to the town and rented a shop near the yamen to open a restaurant and sell his family's tofu. Lan DouMi target was Hong QingRui, he wanted to woe his husband lol They met years ago when Hong family ran and lived for a year in Lan's village but then moved away again.

Lan DouMi had this ability to see aura that came out from people's when they lied and killed lives. He used that to help the officer to solve cases. But after they got married, his ability disappeared and inherited by his ger child. Although I said he helped the officers, it's actually half truth. Lan DouMi involvement in solving cases was not that big, even if he wasnt there, the officer could still solve them.

The cases were not written in long chapters, the shortest was 5chapters, longest was 10/11 chapters, but each chapter was quite short. There were 10 year mutilation case with sad background, a family member changed his attitude and the cause was old hatred, a rape caused by family's feud, murder of justice. The one I was too horrified to remember is the crime or should I say evil slavery done by a whole village, truly evil.

My only complain is this novel is just too short! I want more!
