Let me tell you a story. A story of a scar. A story of my past. A story... of a death.

A not so long time ago, i was living in an area one might call barren in regards to society.
The biggest town in dozens of miles had no more than a couple thousand inhabitants, and the village me and my family lived in was even smaller. Said village rested upon the foot of some mountains; mountains full of life.
Trees everywhere, the only lakes as far as the horizon would let you see, elk and deer enough for all.
Yet not all was peaceful, for some vicious beings rested upon its peaks just as well.
One fateful summer, me and the men of my family went high into the mountains, desiring meat for the year to come.
We hunted and hunted, and indeed things went well. All too well.
We had elk, we had deer, we had fish.
Achieving that which we desired sooner than intended, tell me, what would you think happebs next?
Yes indeed; we got complacent. We got arrogant. We wanted more; we wanted entertainment.
In such an environment it happened; my passion for climbing, for challenging the world itself and surpassing it enfolded.
Through my words of description, my aweinspiring wish, this passion soon set foot in those who did not hold it before.
And so it happened; equiped with that which we need, we set out to search for a place where we could fulfill pur newborn desire.
Again, we got lucky, if you might still want to call it that when i finish.
Because indeed, as the one it originated from, the one with experience, i led ahead, forging a path to heights aspired.
An arduous jurney up, almost halted by a ledge. A ledge upon which sat the very heights we wanted; a ledge that would not set halt to us. And so i climbed and challenged - climbed and challenged, that which should not have been.
For behind that ledge sat a peak indeed, but peeking out behind it, just out of sight of me and mine, was one of those vicious beings i mentioned to you before.
With one final jump, i reached to grab - and indeed, i reached. I got what i wanted, but so did this vicious being. Its sharp extremity cut deep into the back of my hand - it was barely with the strongest of wills, which let me hold on, which let me not plunge into the depths below. And it was just this will that let me see my newest enemy - and pull back before this confrontation could continue.
A being so vicious, no stories could compare. A being so grotesque, imagination will not expect it.
But even against such a monstrosity, even against this thing, i wanted revenge. revenge.
And under these circumstances it was - against the insistence of my family - that i set out again- this time alone, with no more than a hatchet. This shall be a fight; a fight of one against one.
The arduous climb all over, and again over the ledge. It could not halt my righteous fury, even with all its endboss vibes. And so i lay into it with my hatchet, securing various scratches for myself.
And after a long and hard battle; i had chopped it down.
But my victory felt hollow. I had conquered rhe peak, defeated the foe, yes. But i had changed the world. I could no lpnger look up to this peak and speak of the viciousnes of this being, of its verocity, its energy.
A hollow victory indeed.
So i threw its body down, to be burned at a later date.
Victorious - with the dead body of my enemy in tow - i returned to my family and was met with silence.
Because if a single man could chop down his foe, had all the men before truly not been capable enough? Had it not maybe been a part of us, of the mountains, to leave these beings alone?
And so it was a hollow return for a hollow victory of a hollow man...
