This author is good, I read the two completed story and they are very good imo.

Mu Ting transmigrated into a scholar noble young man whose origin was a mystery. Original was an upright, honest, kind young man, he was raised good and was the eldest son of noble Mu family. Suddenly, it was known that he wasnot the real Mu child, it was a case of swapping babies. The real Mu son came to take back everything, he hated Mu Ting because the real Mu didnot have an ounce of Mu Ting's brain capability. The strange thing was that the Mu family (or rather Mu father) didnot let Mu Ting out, but instead locked him and let the real Mu and everybody to mock him. Original died after being poisoned by real Mu and Mu Ting came. Mu Ting knew he'd have a dead end if he insisted to live in the Mu, so he disguised himself like a woman and ran away. In the street, he was knocked out by a woman, tied and sent to a red sedan as her replacement to marry a certain 'dude'.

This dude was the third son of Qi family. Qi family was a peaceful, good family with family rules of only one wife. Headed by Qi father, an upright official, the 1st and 2nd brother were also official, and the three of them were champions in the examination only the third son was considered stupid and hopeless and like to find trouble. They didnot treat the 3rd son unfairly, instead they were very fair, if he did something wrong then the father or now it was taken by the 2 brothers to punish the 3rd son. The 3rd son was shocked when he found out that his bride was a man. He despaired, he was cuckolded 3times well not really tho. His 1st fiance cancelled the agreement, the 2nd ran away/elope, and now the 3rd also ran and changed to a man lol Qi Zhan was a simple minded man to the point of stupid whenever he was in front of his family. But he was very kind, honest and eventhough he and his friends were all self proclaimed 'dude' they never went far.

Qi Zhan was persuaded by Mu Ting skill as a chef and succumbed to his fate as a gay man. Mu Ting also slowly loved the simple minded Qi Zhan and his family. The process of their romance was very sweet yet their attitude and behavior toward each other was still the same after they confessed their feeling and married again. Before the family knew of Mu Ting's gender, they alr liked him very much because they could see the hopeless son changed day by day. After a string of trouble with the real Mu and 2 madmen, the people in the capital found out that the Qi 3rd son married a man, and that man was the former oldest son of Mu family. The Qi family accepted it and their stupid son request of wanting to marry a man as his wife. They even used Mu Ting cooking to bribe the Emperor to give them a marriage decree to make it official so people could not say anything.

Mu Ting also gave the soap recipe and proposal of how to deal with the consequences of inventing soap (like with many lard needed, animal meat would get cheap and etc) to the emperor. One of his solution was he wanted to open a restaurant with emperor focused to cook lamb/mutton so as to help and spread the use of meat more.

Half the story was of the cooking process, the food he cooked for the family and of how Mu Ting invented a food street there. The biggest mystery was Mu Ting's origin, a quick cut scene of politic, then of the people hatred and obsession over Mu Ting in which the reasoning was still not clear for me. And another half was of MC and ML sweet life.

Ah, I need to write this part, so I can remember it.
After all the enemies died, Mu Ting went to offer pray to the Original. Oh right, he revelaed all of it to Qi Zhan. Mu Ting was annoyed and sad, the Original was not a bad person, on the contrary he was raised good, when he knew he wasnot of the Mu family he only wished to find and meet his real parents. But he died like that, while the people who missed and loved him didnot know that and now even though it was all reveal but the one who should know it wasnot here to see it. I also felt so much down reading this part. Luckily the author made one extra chapter for the Original.
(The other novel was even better than this.)
