So I've been listening to the same handful of JRock bands for over 10 years. Recently, I've made an effort to find new songs, because I was getting tired of listening to the same 35 songs on repeat on my Japanese playlist (I'm so picky).

New Highlights--

OMG, DIAURA is SO good! How have I never heard of them before? It's strange that they don't have a PV for 'Taboo,' which is one of their best songs, imo.

I was never a fan of Gazette 10 years ago, but I really like some of their newer stuff. This song is so wonderfully melancholic and angsty.

BUCK-TICK is so...odd. In a good way, I suppose. But most of their music's not for me. However, I'm really loving Babel. 'Romance' is still their #1 song 'though.

MUCC's style varies a LOT. Most of their stuff isn't really my style, but when they when they hit the mark, they're amazing.

The singer from DIMLIM reminds me of Kyo's earlier looks. I'm sure he wore that fishnet mask once somewhere... from 'Obscure?'

Was super happy when someone introduced DEATHGAZE to me. Apparently they had the same singer from lynch at some point, and the two band's styles are similar.

It's a shame that Deathgaze & lynch's best songs aren't available on Spotify. This might be the tipping point that causes me to switch to YoutubeMusic, because there's SO much stuff missing on Spotify when it comes to JRock and VisualKei.

I love this song so much, I listened to it on repeat for many hours and multiple days until I got sick of it (not really). It's got so much ENERGY.

Another great song with great energy. It's rare that Spotify recommends me something I would actually like, but this is one of those rare instances.

Ugh, this song breaks my heart. Not because of the angsty-ness, but I hate the awful screeching at the end. It sounded like someone ripped his balls off. This song was almost perfect. Alas, it wasn't.

I suppose I like some of DISREIGN's songs. What's most impressive is that the lead singer's not Japanese at all; he's Swiss! His vocal style kind of reminds me of Gackt - how he drags out the vowels. (They're friends apparently, and Gackt mentors him). I don't like his growling, but his clear vocals are rather nice. The dude in DISREIGN with a mustache is so LOL. Definitely does not fit the Visual Kei asthetic.
