In the midst of all this drama in society, political, protest, arguments, and so on, a thought couldn't help but formulate.

In the beginning, there was silence. As time passed, voices began to appear. But that was just meaningless noise; until one day, listening started to develop. Noises were heard and for the first time were given a meaning. This was the start of a golden age, The Enlightenment. It was an era that would last for centuries. However, all good things would come to an end, and it, itself was no exception. As time passed, listening were forgotten and things with meaning began to degrade to just empty noises. Voices are lost. Eventually, silence will be all that reminds.

@Achievemint I was referring to it in a metaphorical sense, where America right now is gilded and decorated, but is actually very brittle and full of tension.

@pass1478  I might have missed the alert for this. I googled both terms but I am still unsure. I will take Gilded and Golden interchangeable in my book!

Ahhh history of humanity. As my professor Dr. Henri Miller said: Human civilization is built upon blood and tears... Lots of bodies.

Not to shake your hustle, but I completely misread golden age as gilded age. I blame my American History class! LOL Carry on~
