So, just a small warning. If you wish to retain your sanity after this, you must come in with an empty brain. If you have even another single thought about anything other than taking in my logic in this... you will suffer brain damage. Anyways, let's enjoy talking! Uh, reading.

So, let's talk about space. Ya, the ever-expanding, never-ending thing. The humongous place. Currently, we could make a "You are here" and mark you on "earth". Of course, this "we are here" would be scaled down to size. So that our human brains could comprehend it.

Just one of the many limitations of our brains. Our useless, seeing-in-two-dimension brains. Aren't they weak? But we still need them. And, we haven't even found out all of their secrets yet. Dang, it. It came for us. I never knew Mr. It would get a dang out of me. Yes, this is unintelligible spam.

Hmm...

So, there are dimensions in this world we live in.

There is the first dimension.

The first dimension is created out of nothing but length. There is no depth. There is no height. Only length.

So, let's just say it's a line.

Now, imagine I drew a line from the first dimension (a.k.a. the "line")

This would mean I added height to the first dimension. I stacked the first dimension onto another first dimension. That created the second dimension. The second dimension, basically, is created from countless amounts of first dimensions. These now allow us to identify that the second dimension has length and width.

Ok. We've covered the first and second dimensions. Let's do a small review.

The first dimension is just a line. It cannot be reproduced by us, because even if we drew a singular line on paper, it would still have a width, albeit of minuscule millimeters.

The second dimension is basically just many, many, many lines. It has length and width. Egyptian wall paintings are an example of the second dimension. Or when videogame companies had flat games because they couldn't yet master 3d space within the virtual world.

Did you get all that? Good. I'm not taking no for an answer.

Let's now talk about the three-dimensional world. The one world where we humans are in. We humans, objects we can pick up, all of those things are part of the 3d world.

The third dimension consists of length, width, and height! This means that the third dimension is created because of multiple second dimensions being stacked onto each other.

Ok. Good. We're done doing a small review of all the dimensions that are understandable to humans.

Since we're done, let's talk about how humans view the world!

we humans are arrogant creatures. We think that we can view this three-dimensional world we are in right now... in 3d! How arrogant, right? How can people possibly assume that their brains can handle looking in the third dimension?! Eh? You don't know what I'm talking about. Ah.

See, we humans, we see through our eyes. That means that our eyes are observing the world around us and sending them to our brains. This might cause you to think that we are totally seeing the 3d world. But, we're not! We are actually observing this world in the second dimension, and shadows and other illusions make it seem like we are seeing in 3d!

If we could really see in the third dimension, we'd be four dimension beings!

You see, every being or creature that can see in a dimension can only observe its surroundings in the dimension right below it. A one dimension creature (which can't exist) would not be able to see anything. Things in the second dimension would be able to only see in the first dimension. And, creatures in the third dimension can only see in the second dimension. we use shadows to make ourselves illusioned into thinking we are seeing in the 3d.

Anyhow. As you might have guessed, there're first, second, third, fourth, fifth, and so on dimensions. Each dimension is created from countless amounts of the dimensions before them.

So, if we were fourth-dimensional creations, we would be able to say that we could see through normal, three-dimensional creatures. A four-dimensional being (which probably exists. the chances are quite high.) would be able to look right at our organs. And, they could also perceive time as an "object", though the word object is quite an unfitting term. After all, four-dimensional beings would be able to be illusioned into "seeing" the fourth dimension through their three-dimensional vision.

Now, I want to state that time is the fourth dimension.

Therefore, a four dimensions creature would be able to perceive time better than we could.

Let's go a bit to an unrelated topic, and talk about space for a bit.

Space is designed in such a way, that even we humans can kind of uncover its secrets. We've found out very important piece in the puzzle called space: space-time

we can show what it looks like, right? if you don't know, think of spandex. That flexible, elastic material. Now, think of it on something that is like a trampoline. there. you just created a pretty accurate model of space-time.

If you place an object on there, it will curve the surrounding space. If the object is heavy, when you place another object on the spandex-trampoline, it will move towards the heavy object. that is gravity at work.

anyhow, notice a crucial part of the "space-time".

I think you noticed.

Let's go back to our conversations about how four-dimensional beings could "observe" time. If they can already observe space, then they are allowed to also observe time, then... wouldn't they be able to observe space-time much better than us 3d creatures?

Can't they basically see what we humans have been trying to find out for years... just by being born?

In that case, if just four-dimensional creatures would be able to observe space-time directly... wouldn't it be quite likely that objects in the fifth dimension could directly manipulate space-time itself?

Ah, this turned into quite a long rant. What i just wanna say is that more research into more dimensions would really help to further advance our knowledge of space.

Just by being in the fourth dimension, we might find out more about what dark matter/energy is made up of. We might even be able to actually better explain what space is expanding into. Well, this universe is heading towards another big bang anyways.

Ardna and Tech is life like this.

no, we can't perceive it, but we know it's there. as a simple analogy, think of Pi. It has an ever-expanding amount of decimals. and, because it is an irrational number, we can conclude that there are an infinite series of numbers that appear after it. just like that, think of dimensions as irrational. it means that there are probably an infinite amount of dimensions. It's just that we humans are bound at only being able to see in the 2d.

basically, if we say that the fourth dimension is time and that anything in 4d is made up of countless 3d objects added onto each other, then we wouldn't be able to perceive what time would look like. It's too ahead of us. A full 2 more dimensions than what humans could observe.

this 4d figure is what we expect a 4-dimensional object to look like. but it's been altered a bit to allow us to understand it.

And constants can exist. I'm assuming you're talking about something like a physical constant, and not the mathematical constant. Constants can be explained easily. It's basically, you could say, a property of the universe. In that situation, as long as there is a universe, those things will happen. Just like how we have theorized that space creating more space (it's been expanding because more space is being created) is probably a property of space, we can safely say that things like the speed of light, the gravitational constant, electric constant, and others are going to be happening throughout space. Ofc, these are just my little ramblings.

I absolutely hate physics because I cannot understand anything. I thought that we could not perceive anything further than a fourth dimension. Although this universe is ordered in such a specific way. What I want to know is how does constants exist. Is it an intrinsic property of the universe? I think only God knows.
