This Yellow Rose of Ours
Like light reflected in water,
Your eyes as vivid as our encounter.
The loud shrill of your laughter,
I could never forget, you were such a prankster.
Nicely done ponytail,
Ruining it, poking with your pencil.
Always present, at our school's guidance council.
Quite the troublemaker, our neighborhood's daredevil.
Just wait 'till I tell your mother,
She'd drag you by the ear, and my smile would grow wider.
Even so, we were always together,
Like birds of a feather, even when we got older.

Ps. The flower Yellow Rose has a lot of meanings but the one I'm using on this poem is of joys and friendship ^ - ^
