87. BL 我在漢朝搞基建[穿書] I was engaged in infrastructure construction in the Han Dynasty [Wearing Books]
作者:青鸟临星
Completed 661 ch 4/5

Liu Tan transmigrated to a 14yo Liu Tan, the 5th prince of the Han dynasty that was ruled wisely by Liu Che. At first he was angry and asked why he got transmigrated when his life was good, he wasnot orphan, had good job, good upbringing and very social. When he realized that he actually knew the history of this dynasty and he read a novel using the characters he was scared shit of his fate. Liu Tan's birth was special, he was the son of empress Chen, but raised as a son of Li general by the emperor's order because a spiritual teacher said something about star and the like. Suddenly, he was brought back as a prince and got to know all the famous people he read from history.

From the novel, he knew the empress was a rebirth and with that all the things got butterfly effect. People that should still alive were dead, people that should not born yet was here already, etc. Liu Tan didnot want to give his mother more amunition to rebel and take the throne from his eldest brother the crown prince. He started to live in another world and tried to find something to do. His adopted father, the Li general was framed and would get the BE, so he went to emperor and ask so he could help him since the Li family was kind and raised him like a real son. The task from the emperor to general Li was to grow grapes which considered very difficult since it was not from there. Liu Tan was smart and he was an archaeology student back then so he dabbled into many fields in the making of country.

Liu Tan knowledge was without perfection, all he could do was researching and redo them all. From growing grapes, he was sidetracked to more things that were not from the ancient era. The emperor was actually not that caring to him but slowly the emperor could see Liu Tan was different with his other sons. Liu Tan actually was afraid of his emperor father, because one wrong move his head would roll. To curry favor with his royal father, mother and crown prince, whenever he invented new things or food, he would give them to his parents first (then crown prince). Things such as candy, coated sugar, new food, vinegar from grape, liquor from grape, etc. He also made flush toilet because he wanted it. He gave it to his father, but they didnot know what's good in doing that there, instead it became a toy in the palace lol
The crown prince Liu Ju disliked the other sons, because they always tried to take his position and his father's favor. With Liu Tan's naivety and innocence, Liu Ju felt he could put his guard down and have brotherly realtionship.

Liu Tan met and befriended Lu Xuan, a genius prince from other country that came to Han to learn. Slowly Lu Xuan made known his feeling to him and started to woo Liu Tan. Their romance was a LDR, because both had their own responsiblity. But Lu Xuan was smart and knew in order to survive, his small tribe needed Han's help. After getting positive answer from Liu Tan, he agreed his tribe would be vassal country to Han. But their relationship was still LDR lol

After getting his own fief, Liu Tan went out to the north to play er build his own fief. There Liu Tan was free in doing whatever he wanted. He determined to reclaim the north land and made it prosper and to defend the Han from enemies attack. Lu Xuan's country was near his fief, so they were happy they could meet more often.

Yep, a +600 ch, such a long reading for me.
It was actually very enjoyable to read this. If not, I'd not read such long story.

Liu Che was obsessed with immortality or rather he wanted to meet gods but still in normal level of obsession. It was like his hobby and he was also very curious and eager to know things. Somehow he could feel his son who was raised outside the palace was different with who he was used to. He deduced Liu Tan went to the god's realm or being taught by those immortal men or he was actually an envoy from there and tasked to help the people in Han LOL.

Every year Liu Che would go touring his kingdom but since Liu Tan went to his fief Liu Che changed/added his fief as part of his trip. Every time, Liu Tan would eager to do something new to entertain his father. After being there and cared by his family, he started to be a son not a subject. So he was very willing to rack his brain to invent things. Such as elevator, tree house, water park, lantern garden, cement, delicious food, etc. And further proven when he was uncomfortable seeing his father visiting brothel and wanted to take home those beauty. He was treated not like a grown up but more kid by his father somehow it made him felt tired whenever he saw that kind of thing lol

Although I wish the author would write a bit more of the Li family, since they (the mother) showed in chapter 1. I mean the son they raised for 14 years was gone. No interaction and explanation at all was a bit unsatisfactory for me. This is similar with living in Tang dynasty, but that one was not transmigration nor rebirth, and the MC was the emperor's younger brother. For me both are not exactly kingdom building but more additional convenience of civilization. Since both kingdom already put their own system and only need some direction and modern inventions.
