all of the beauty, hope, and love grew from the ground
layers of seasons and weather saw the two of us around
our hands soiled with the soft and tough earth
symphony of flowers budded and came to their birth
there were no more broken dreams sang by the anthem of the soil
on the flowerbed of wonder and delight that we worked so hard to toil
the seeds have finally blossomed, and it was all so divine
we finally entered the garden with our hands clasped and intertwined
from my broken roots, fast-growing weeds, and vines
where she once knew where everything would continue to wither and still dies
in the garden as it was once her tomb
was no longer her place of impending doom
everything was restored, and we began anew
with our grounding love, you tended to me and ceased the big blue
