This is a blog where I'll probably post my ideas and developments on a novel that I plan to create and release in the near future. I just hope I don't back out and become a loser that everyone hates. By the way, I'll sometimes edit some of my posts. Like phrasing and such.

But it's the title. And you even put an aspiring artist. Not just aspiring artists or the aspiring artists. It's so annoying.

Tycheri, you're talking to someone who's been on hiatus for a year, spell-checking and proof-reading are the least of my worries. (-_-")

I don't want to be "that guy", but you don't put an apostrophe after artists unless it's plural.

      Chapter 3 - A New Life

With the surreal scene of a large man standing around the bodies of lifeless people, the man himself was not terrified nor weirded out by the deathly silence but instead seemed excited.

"Haha-! What a weird shit to do, well at least something entertaining happened."

With a sneer, he began to hastily sprint towards the area where the demons were, with a speed that had reached an incredible velocity, something which a normal person could never do. The man was quickly interrupted though, when a powerful wind blade struck the shoulder plate on his metal armor. He quickly stopped and deployed an extra layer of protection by wrapping mana all around his vitals.

"Hey, come out! I'm not into playing hide n' seek!"

The man took on a cautious attitude after receiving an attack. Briefly taking a look around he finally felt something and sent a mana strike with his long sword. The strike caused a long streak of red energy to form, and at the location where the strike was heading towards, two dark shadows suddenly sprang out.

Even when the attack missed, the man was not disappointed. He acted as though he had found something interesting instead.

"Ohh, what do we have here....a lizard and a snake huh. Haha, thought it was something like those devilmen of the abyssal realm. Didn't expect your kind to be able to do all this." The man said jokingly.

The two individuals in question were two demons, who both had a scaly appearance. They didn't have the time to retort however, because the man suddenly leapt at them. Within a moment he had begun attacking them with a fast stab, followed up with a double-spin slash mixed in, while simultaneously spreading a bright red aura around his weapon. The lizardman quickly reacted and put his arms in a guard position.

      『الدفاع النهائي- Vajra

The lizard used a personal spell and his skin suddenly became gray with a tint of blue covering him. The man who had seen all this happen snorted and slashed at the lizard's arm.

*Clang* "Kuu! Oi, the fucks with this strength?!"

Even after preparing for the strike, he still managed to receive quite a bit damage, judging by the appearance of a long slash mark across his arm. He even used a physical enhancement skill and still couldn't fully protect his body. Fortunately due to the fact that his body's nature resembled an actual reptilian monster, his body was regenerating itself very fast, with even the imprint left on his arm starting to disappear.

The other demon quickly fled to a certain distance away and started casting another wind type spell.

『الرياح، وجمع في راحة يدي، تتكثف، لذلك أنا قد قطع العدو - Wind ○ Blade

However, instead of just one, there were several dozen blades and they each varied in size.

The flurry of wind blades tore through the air, breaking the flow of battle between the man and lizard demon. With the blades coming towards him, the man made a quick decision and decided side-stepped towards the left. He dodged the first few before leaping onto the roof of a two-story building to escape the rest of the barrage.

The man decided that it was time to end this and decided to attack the mage first by making use of some skills that he hadn't used yet. When the man started set the mage as his highest priority, the mage began to feel his murderous intent and began chanting a different type of spell.

      "You think I'll let you!【Thunder ○ Strike】!"

The man jumped off from the side of the building and began to use a high-rank sword skill that included a speed buff. With the use of the movement buff, the distance between both of them had closed within a second.

Something unexpected happened though: right when he was about to cut the mage in half, the lizard suddenly got in the way of the strike and was the one who took damage instead. The damage caused the flesh on his arm to burn, and the bones also started to crack.

The man was surprised by the sudden appearance of the lizard, but he quickly regained his composure and followed up with a three-consecutive strike, with the first one cutting off the remains of the opponent's damaged arm.

The lizard was unfazed by the loss of his arm and called out to his partner.

"Oi Vyper, get "that" spell ready!" 'Seems like we have to use it now.'

". . ." The mage began contemplating on the potential consequences when using the spell.

"Oi, VYPER! It doesn't matter anymore, just do it now while we're still alive."

"...Understood.『من فضلك، أعطني قوة الآلهة، حتى دقيقة واحدة من السلطة. مع كل حياتي، - 』"

The man didn't understand what was about to happen, mainly because he was experiencing intense combat between himself and the lizard. Even now he was still acting cautious towards the mage, as when he tried to close the distance on him, the lizard would prevent any further movement.

It was still a tough fight even when the other opponent had one arm, mainly because he had exhausted a lot of his mana with the use of the high-rank skill. Even during the fight he had not let his thoughts wander, nor did he even think about the reason for the city's destruction. He knew that the way demons did things were odd and with the language being very different, the only way for him to discern what was being said was the "way" it was said. Since mages usually mumbled, it became very difficult to understand what they were chanting, so he could only worry about how to deal with the lizard first.

During the fight between the guildmaster and Vyner, Vyner had started using his own attacking skills. He also used physical enhancement skills. He then used a skill called【Lord’s Fortress】that bosted in both defense and power.

      [Four Minutes Later]

      "...ha...ha...hah-"

The final conclusion, both parties had received major injuries. The lizard had lost both arms, with only a stub of what remained, and received many scars due to his body not being able fast enough, with a large slash mark remained on the upper-part of his chest. The guild master was in better condition with having lost just his right arm, while having gained a damaged eye. His set of armor had become damaged beyond repair though, with there being a large hole in the middle.

Even to now, the mage had, without falter, still continued to chant his seemingly neverending spell. Since this spell used it's caster as a medium, it would prevent the caster to collapse in the middle of chanting. It would destroy the physical body of the caster in trade for "ultimate" destruction.

Yes, this spell was actually a forbidden spell, and their final resort. Though they didn't want to use it, but that's unimportant however as the spell would be finished soon.

"...Oi, the fuck is that guy chanting?"

The man suddenly asked an unexpected question after realizing both of them couldn't move due to straining both of their bodies and at the same time depleting their mana tank. The lizard was surprised but decided that it was okay with the current situation, so he began talking in the human language.

"We were originally coming here to test our strength after hearing that there was a extremely strong person here, even among their official ranks. We decided to test whether or not it was true by killing all the worthless ones first and ended up using a genocide class spell, if someone survived then that's our guy."

"Eh, I thought you guys were here under the orders of some high-rank official within the demon realm. Didn't think I was just some small fish. You still haven't answered my question though, what is he chanting?" The man pointed at the mage who was still chanting.

      『مع السلطة الخاصة بك -』

"As a demon, we've been told since childhood that humans must be killed at all costs and as fighters this was even more so. So he's. . ." Vyner then thought for a moment and decided that it wasn't a good idea to tell him.

"What, is it some forbidden spell meant to kill us all?" - The Guild Master snorted at his pointless behavior.

". . .hah, it is." 'Since we're going to die anyways, there's really no point to keeping it hidden.'

      ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° °
There was an oppressing atmosphere around them, but after waiting more then 2 minutes they began to get restless. Even when their bodies regained some mobility they did not move, because they both knew that it wouldn't matter.

      『الله، اسمحوا لي-』

". . .hey, let's continue this when we're in hell." The man gave one final line with a smirk on his face after knowing the end of his life is near.

The lizard was surprised but replied a moment later.

      "HAHA, you too!"

      『ذبح -』

      "Looks like it's time~"

      『. . .كل واحد منهم - Annihilation

With the spell's activation the mage collapsed. Everything went silent as a large energy wave suddenly sprang out of the mage's location. Destruction was brought to them.

"Ahh-. . .umm, what was that?"

He remembered feeling an intense pain, and began to see some odd things. Even after patiently waiting for a long time, they never stopped and instead kept going on as though it was endless.

He already realized that the things he was looking at were memories, and everything began to go black after he saw the adventurers and the guards running towards the residential district.

The situation between the victims and the attackers began to display itself, but differently compared to before, it was in third-person.

He was very shocked when he began to see the situation, because while he knew that there were things such as demons when he began looking through the child's life, he didn't know what magic or power was considered as in this world.

He was starting to feel agitated when the fight between the demon's and the Guild Master was starting to reach it's final conclusion. As though to prove his despair, when the Genocide-class spell activated, it had actually caused his point of view to change back towards the host.

He saw a spirit-less boy being crushed inside a pile of lifeless bodies. After that there was silence, complete stillness.

At this point everything had started to swirl, with the "memory" becoming distorted. Everything started to get farther and farther until-

      "HA!"

I went back to chapter 2 for multiple reasons. Here's the new one that will be replacing the current one.

      Chapter 2 - The Past

"AAAAHH-!!" These unknown memories were rushing in like a massive flood. The pain was so unbearable that he soon sprawled onto the ground, and started to spasm disgustingly for the next few minutes. Such an appearance didn't even resemble a human and more like a beast.

Around 3 hours later, he soon woke up to discover that his whole face was wet, his expression however did not show any sign of panic, but was instead ecstatic. His current appearance had experienced a major change, because instead of the green colored eyes he had in the past, he now had two, bright red eyes. His skin was paler and smoother than before, his current features seemed a bit feminine, even.

      What could have happened?

      ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° °

      [Three days ago]

"...!" Inside an alley next to a bustling city street, the only sounds you could hear were punching, and an extremely disgusting screech that no person should make. Inside the alley were two men and one badly injured child, his face was full of bruises. He was grabbing one of man's wrists that was currently holding onto his neck in order to break free.

The man seemed to enjoy the sight of seeing a young boy struggle so he hit him once more to induce panic.

"GAAH!" The child was unable to resist, so he began to claw at the man's arm but up to no avail.

"...That's enough Vyner, you know we don't have the time to deal with this kind of nonsense?" The other man began to warn his friend on how they are beginning to waste their precious time.

"...Tch. Oi, lil' shit, hope you engraved today's lesson to your very bone, because the next time I see your sorry excuse of a person, I'll kill you." The man dropped the bleeding child on to the ground.

"Ugh!" The boy groaned in agony as he fell, he pressed his fingers on the back of his head and felt a light sting. After the man had let go of the boy, him and his friend started to walk towards the street and began to merge with the crowd.

"Hah...ha...hah..ha" After both men had left, the child began to wipe off the blood, snot, and spit that accumulated on his face with his 'scrap cloth' of clothing. After he started to recover for awhile he thought of something and began to rummage through the trash in the corner. He seemed like he was looking for something, and when he was about to give up suddenly a couple of clanging sounded out.

"...phew, at least they didn't find the sack." 'Guess today just wasn't my day' - Blake, this was the child's' current name, and like any other person in the slums, he was just trying to survive in these harsh conditions.

For Blake, he was an abandoned child that got picked up by an orphanage that later went bankrupt. When this happened, all the children were forced to live in the slums, it was very difficult to survive in this type of environment, and to prove it, one of the boys who had left the orphanage along with Blake had died due to falling ill from an infection, while one of the girls were kidnapped and sold off into slavery after trying to buy some medicine in order to save him.

There wasn't really anything special about him besides the fact that he has a special skill that he can't use. As a child who lives alone in the slums, he's been bullied and injured many times throughout the whole time he's been here. However in this world where the medical science has barely advanced, of which the mainstream are spells and potions. Any injury, even if it was light, are considered as deadly as poison for these poor folks.

If they wanted to buy a potion, then with their appearance and disgusting stench, no store would allow them inside, and even the stalls set up in the commercial district had their potions base prices increased, so to these people who lived in an environment where people "dropped like flies", one of the few choices left for them to survive was pickpocketing.

For those living in the slums this was an easy task...as long as the victim wasn't clever. You see, adults are very unreliable when it comes to hiding their facial expression's, untrained and they can easily get caught. So children are mainly used because they can learn much faster than adults, and since they're young no one will really suspect them. So for Blake, today was really an unlucky day.

In this world where the existence of mana has covered the whole planet like air, life had evolved in many dangerous ways. On Vanguard, humans did not dominate the world alone and instead there were other "races" who occupied them at the top of the food chain. While a majority of them did have a humanoid shape, but when compared to the whole of humanity, they were many times stronger than ordinary humans.

However, each of these races had a common enemy, and those were "monsters". These creatures had most of Vanguard set up as their territory, the main reason was because these creatures could "evolve" which made them stronger, and in turn of course made them even harder to deal with. After years of fighting these monsters, the races have documented, classified, and ranked a large amount of different species in categories depending on their "strength".

They used letters as a way to classify their capability, goblins and wolves would be ranked as G-class monsters, and are even further classified with tier 2 and tier 4 respectively. Another example would be a dragon, with the weakest adult dragons being ranked at A-Tier 3. This system was created so that individuals don't die due to facing monsters much stronger than what they're capable of handling. Of course this wasn't easy to set up, and many died trying to evaluate new species.

These races have been expanding and colonizing the rest of the world as best as they can since the beginning, however because of the existence known as mana, Vanguard is 5 times the size of Earth, so the progress has been very slow. So after more than 3000 years since the organization made to kill monsters was founded, we have only managed to claim 37% percent of the world...that is on land. Any large body of water has not been fully explored due to the higher level of danger it is compared to land. Things like mermaids do exist, though they are just disgusting fish/man hybrids.

Because of all these dangerous elements, the human body has evolved in a way so that it can adapt more easily in this chaotic world. Humans are now capable of using abilities that may have been specific to a certain race, such as [Dark Magic]. This type of magic was deemed impossible to be used by any other race than the "demons", and yet humans were capable of using it.

Of course however, the first ever recorded case of a human being able to use it was actually mistaken as a demon, who was then hunted down by the order of the established monster hunting organization known as "The Adventurers Guild". Since then, there have been many other cases of humans being able to use skills specific to races and have then stopped being hunted.

It is currently June 16 in the year 4837, and from now on the world will experience a change that will cause the deaths of many.

"Dyrus, if you do this, you know Sierra will be angry."

"I need to Thana, you and I both know how dangerous the other gods have become."

"...but to use your own child- "ENOUGH!"

"This is my decision, and I WILL see through it!"

      ° ° °

"Hah, well, guess I should head to the food stall for now."

With that goal in mind, Blake left the alley and went towards the market, ignorant about the soon impending danger.

When he was already halfway there, he then heard a loud bang, and it sounded like it was coming from the residential area. Sure enough, he soon saw both adventurers and guards clad in extravagant armor heading towards that direction.

      ° ° °

      {Adventurer's POV}

"Ha, ha, what happened? Why was there an explosion?"

"I don't know Chris, but it shouldn't be anything goo- *BOOM* What was that!?"

Ahead of them, a large tornado made of flames had suddenly appeared. That wasn't the only one though as, to the right of the original tornado, were 3 additional flame tornado and two of which had exploded within the town square.

"No way, isn't that the intermediate magic [Blazing Inferno]?! Don't mages need to be a dual elementalist in order to cast it, why is someone like that here?!"

[Blazing Inferno], one of the many difficult to learn magic due to the requirement of having to be a dual elementalist, an individual capable of controlling both fire and wind elements. Dual elementalists like that are rare, with even some triple or quad appearing. Usually people with these attributes end up becoming powerful adventurers.

"I don't know, but for some reason they're trashing the place."

Currently the only places where the attacks were focused on seemed to have been the residential area and the town square. The guards seem to be unable to contain the situation however, because another large explosion resounded. This time instead however, there were multiple blazing red lances being launched one after the other, after which there would be a small explosion from where it landed.

"...so many, who could be doing this?" - Random Adventurer

      ° ° °

      "Waaaaaaa-! MAMA!"

Currently within the damaged residential area, where the catastrophe had occurred. Inside the battle scene that could even be called a mass genocide, with an the area containing both falling debris and chunks of burning meat, there was a child crying next to the mutilated corpse of a woman.

"Mommy, where are you!?" The child could not see the woman who lay next to her, if she did she would have realized that she was actually her late mother. She did not even realize that both of eyes were damaged due to being hit by pieces of burning debris. The only thing she could sense or even see were the flashing lights flickering here and there, and the sounds of explosions within the vicinity.

*Thump* Suddenly, the sound of a powerful footstep resounded.

"MAMA!" The child got even more terrified and began to cry even louder.

*Thump Thump* The sound of footsteps got even faster, and even gave the impression of being annoyed.
      "MAMA-!"

      *THUMP THUMP THUMP*
      "MA-*BAM*

"...Disgusting little shit!" The man was annoyed by the sound of a crying child, and began to curse.

"Vyner! I told you to stop messing around with the insects and get your ass to work!"

"C'mon Vyper, we might as well have some fun while we're at it."

The two men whom Blake had met a while ago were the same people currently causing disaster in the city. However their appearance had become very different compared to when Blake had first seen them, because currently they were no longer disguised as humans and were in the appearance of their original forms. Vyner was currently in the form of a large, humanoid shaped reptile with a head similar to an iguana, while Viper had the same appearance but with both arms having become scaly, with fangs hanging out from his mouth.

"Of course we can't, there's still one more troublesome matter we have to deal with."

"Aren't you wasting time then? If we just used one of your spells, then we would have been done with this place long ago."

"...Very well, might as well use it to buy some time, though we are a ahead of schedule by a bit. Hah-" After a slight pause he began to cast a spell.

"『الزمان والمكان، داخل كف يدي، وأود أن تضحك على جيش الآلاف في لحظة. الإبادة الجماعية، ولكن أريد أن لمس وسرقة نفوس الكثيرين』- [Soul ○ Destruction]"

....With the activation of the spell, a large domain suddenly appeared and expanded out from their original location.

      ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° °

      {Guard's and Adventurers's POV}

When Vyper activated his spell, the sudden exaustion of mana alerted all the magicians among the guards.

"...! Leader, I just detected a large distur-"

      "Oi, Chris! Wha-AHG!"

      "AHHHHH-!!"

"What's happening? Why is everyone fal-"

Suddenly, everyone within a three-mile radius had begun to fall onto the ground. No one within the city knew what was going on, nor did they have the time to do so because the mana wave killed them instantly. All except one person though.

"Ah shit, looks like we got something troublesome. Oi, anybody still out there?" It was the current guild-master for this city's Adventurers' Guild.

      ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° °

      {Narrator}

As for Blake, when the mana wave hit he was no exception. So when Blake had been running along the crowded mass of panicked people, the wave caused everyone to fall on top of each other and thankfully he wasn't crushed. Though I don't think there's anyone inside that empty shell of flesh.

Even after all this the mage had, without falter, still continued to chant his seemingly neverending spell. However since this spell used it's caster as a medium for it, it prevented the caster to collapse.

The lizard was suprised but decided that it was okay with the current situation, so he started talking in the human language.

"We were originally coming here to test our strength, and in the end kill everyone. We heard that there was a guild master here that was strong, even among their official ranks. We decided to test wether or not it was true by killing all the troublesome one's first with a high-level genocide class spell, if someone survived then that's our guy."

"Eh, I thought you guys were here under the orders of some high-rank official within the demon realm. Didn't think I was just some small fish. You still haven't answered my question though, what is he chanting?" The man pointed at the mage who was still chanting.

      『مع السلطة الخاصة بك -』

"Well, in case we found someone of your strength here, we were told to kill you at all costs, and he's..." Vyner thought about it and decided that it wasn't a good idea to tell him.

"What, is it some forbidden spell meant to kill us all?" - The Guild Master

"...it is." 'Since we're going to die anyways, what the point of keeping it hidden?' So he told him the truth.

There was a deathly silence around them, after waiting another 2 minutes they began to just not care anymore. Even when their bodies regained a bit of their mobility they did not move, since they both knew that it wouldn't matter.

      『الله، اسمحوا لي-』

"...Oi, let's continue this when we're in hell." The man gave one final line with a smirk on his face after knowing the end of his life is near.

      "HAHA, you too!"

      『ذبح -』

      "Looks like it's time~"

      『كل واحد منهم - Annihilation

With the spell's activation, the mage collapsed. Everything went silent as a large energy wave suddenly sprang out of the mage's location. Destruction was brought to them.

      "Ahh-...um, what was that?"

He remembers feeling an intense pain before, and began to see some weird things. Even after waiting for a long time they never stopped, and instead kept going on as though it was endless. He already realized that the things he was looking through were memories, and everything began to go black after he saw the adventurers and the guards running towards the residential district.

However even that "ever-approaching" darkness went away, and the situation between the victims and the attackers began to display itself. He was very shocked when he began to see it, because while he knew there things such as demons when he began looking through the child's life, he didn't know what true power meant, or looked like in this world.

He began to feel agitated when the fight between the demon's and the Guild Master was starting to reach it's conclusion.

      Chapter 3 - A New Life(4/10)
With the surreal scene of a large man standing around the bodies of lifeless people, the man himself was not terrified nor weirded out by the deathly silence but instead seemed excited.

"Haha-! What a weird shit to do, well at least something entertaining finally happened."

He began to hastily sprint towards the area where the demons were with a speed that had reached an incredible velocity, something a normal person could never do. The man was quickly interrupted though, when a powerful wind blade struck the shoulder plate on his metal armor. He quickly stopped and deployed an extra layer of protection by wrapping mana all around his vitals.

"Hey, come out! I'm not into playing hide n' seek!"

After taking a look around he finally felt something and sent a mana wave strike with his long sword.

      *SVRAA*

At the location where the strike was heading towards, two dark shadows suddenly sprang out.

"Ohh, what do we have here, a lizard and a snake huh. Haha, thought it was something like those devilmen of the abyssal realm. Didn't expect your kind to be able to do all this." The man said jokingly.

The two individuals in question didn't have time to retort however, because the man suddenly leapt at them. Within a few seconds he had started attacking them with a fast stab, and followed up with a double-spin slash. The lizardman quickly reacted and put his arms in a gaurd position.

      『الدفاع النهائي- Vajra』

The lizard used a personal spell and suddenly turned gray with a tint of blue covering him. The man who had seen all this happen snorted and slashed at the lizard's arm.

*Clang* "Kuu! Oi, the fucks with this strength?!"

Even after using his personal skill, he still managed to receive quite a bit damage by the appearance of the thin, long slash mark that ran across his arm. While it wasn't life-threatening for him, the feeling of being oppressed by a massive force still felt uncomfortable. His body wasn't just protected with the use of one spell, but was instead covered in a thick layer of mana at the same time.

He even used a physical enhancement skill and still couldn't fully protect his body. Though due to the fact that his body's nature resembling actual reptilian monsters, his body was regenerating itself very fast.

The other person quickly fled to a certain distance away and started casting another wind type spell.

『الرياح، وجمع في راحة يدي، تتكثف، لذلك أنا قد قطع العدو - Wind ○ Blade』

There wasn't just one blade though, as there were at least a dozen and they each varied in size .

      *Swoosh*X17

With the blades coming towards him, the man made a quick decision and side-stepped towards the left. He dodged the first few and then leapt onto the roof of a 2 story building to escape the rest of the barrage.

The man decided that it was time to end this and decided to attack the mage first, by making use of some skills that he hasn't used yet.

The mage began to feel something ominous and quickly started on another spell.

      "You think I'll let you!【Thunder Strike】!"

The man jumped off from the side of the building and began to use a high-rank sword skill that buffs movement speed. With the use of the skill, the distance between them closed in within a second.

Something unexpected happened, the lizard suddenly got in the way of the strike and was the one who took damage instead. The damage caused his arm to become severely damaged, with the bones even starting to crack.

The man was suprised but he quickly regained his composure and followed up with 3-consecutive strikes with the first one cutting off the remains of the opponent's damaged arm.

The lizard was unfazed by this but still called out to his partner.

"Oi Vyper, get "that" spell ready!"

      "..."

      "VYPER!"

"I-I'm on it!『من فضلك، أعطني قوة الآلهة، حتى دقيقة واحدة من السلطة. مع كل حياتي، -"

The man didn't understand what was about to happen, mainly because he was right now under mortal combat between himself and the lizard. He was still cautious about the mage, but even when he tried to close in on him, the lizard would prevent any further movement.

It was still a tough fight even when the opponent had one arm, mainly due to him being tired after using his special skill. Even during the fight, he had not let his thoughts wander, he didn't even think about the reason for the city's destruction.

He knew that the way demons did things were odd and with the language being very different, the only way for him to discern what was being said was the "way" it was said. Since mages usually mumbled, it became very difficult to discern what they were chanting, so he could only worry about how to deal with the lizard first.

Mainly on the how to implement it, like the way I made the demons appear. Originally there was supposed to be just one and it was supposed to appear suddenly, not infiltrate.

I scratched that idea due to how I didn't want an OP person early-on and due to how it didn't make much sense.

"But then what about the guild master?" "For the plot! It also made sense."

Actually, the guild master was supposed to be a mage but early-on in the development, I was like,"Nah, doesn't seem powerful enough."
